Living in Liverpool
Liverpool is a city that fuses culture, music, and beautiful architecture, both old and new. You may remember when the city was crowned the European Capital of Culture in 2008. With a plethora of historic buildings, sculptures, and Victorian docks that hark back to the area’s maritime heritage, it’s easy to see why.
Of course, Liverpool is also famous for nurturing talents such as The Beatles, Elvis Costello, and many other big names. But this is just one of many draws. Alongside a still pulsing live music, club and bar scene, you’ll find amazing racecourses and golfing greens, and two Premier League football teams.
Other highlights include a wealth of galleries, theatres and unmissable exhibitions, not to mention some fantastic shopping amenities. If retail therapy is your thing, check out Liverpool ONE – an iconic open-air shopping district on the waterfront. Beyond this, a range of lovely parks and gardens provide serenity and safe spaces for families to enjoy.
