New build homes in Acton: 10 highest rated developments

Rising from fifth to the top of the pile in Acton in our latest update, Vida is a residential development in the heart of Acton. Developed by Hill Residential, apartments here vary from one to two bedrooms, and include a selection of two-bedroom duplex apartments and three-bedroom maisonettes. Nearby transport links include National Rail services at Acton Central and the Tube at East Acton Underground. The development is walking distance to Askew Road, which has loads of food shops, places to eat, and cute coffee shops. Ravenscourt Park and Acton park are also nearby.

This resident had lots of positive things to say: ‘The flat itself is beautiful, with big windows and top-notch materials used for all the fixtures, kitchen, bathrooms and floors. The bathrooms feel luxurious and having a balcony in London is fabulous. Our flat faces the school to the rear of the development and we get the sun all afternoon and evening. It feels very peaceful looking over a small park as well.’

Our second-placed contender, Acton Square is a Bellway Homes mixed-use development located in Ealing. It is comprised of 95 apartments, ranging from studios to three-bedrooms. Residents benefit from parking and from being situated near Acton Town centre, just a mile away, and four Tube stations within walking distance.

One reviewer said: ‘The development is extremely well built, the sound proofing is EXCELLENT. We tested this with our neighbours above, who played super loud music through their speakers, and we couldn’t hear a thing. The apartments are spacious and on the top few floors there are just two apartments per floor, so you have a lot of privacy. The building management is decent, we have cleaners and gardeners bi-weekly. The location is excellent as it’s easy to get to Acton high street, Shepherd’s Bush, Hammersmith, Chiswick, even Ealing! Lots of independent cafés and restaurants down Askew Road, lots of parks nearby too.’

In third place, One West Point is a collection of new build apartments located in Acton. The development provides 24-hour concierge, a private dining suite, private bar, restaurant and food hall, branded coffee shop, a yoga mediation and holistic suite, a fully equipped gymnasium, a private screening room, doggy day care facilities and a children’s soft play retreat.

In fourth place, The Factory Quarter is a Notting Hill Genesis development located in Bedford Park. It is comprised of 453 apartments, ranging from one or two bedrooms and a few shops. It is situated a 15-minute walk from both Turnham Green station and Acton Central station, which are served by the District line and the Overground, respectively. Residents like the local Kiss gym, the spacious apartments, and the overall vibe and convenience of the location.

Taking fifth place, West 3 London Apartments by Berkeley Homes is a mixed-use development located in Acton Vale. It comprises of 889 apartments, ranging from studio and one-bedroom properties to four-bedroom homes. Residents benefit from being located next to Acton Park and just a 16-minute walk from Acton Central station, which serves the London Overground. There are also plenty of bus routes nearby. Reviewers have commented on having access to a roof terrace and a gym on their doorstep.

Originally a warehouse, Tech West Lofts is a 48-unit residential apartment block in Acton, by De Vere Partners. The units are broken down into one, two and three bedroom-apartments, and residents are within close proximity to Acton Central station for Overground services into London.

Perhaps experiences like this are the reason the development has earned its place on our list: ‘I’ve been living here for three years, and I really love it. It’s a great building and overall everything is perfect for me. I live here on my own and the whole apartment is incredibly spacious. Every room is amazing and big enough for me! The caretakers within the building are really nice and helpful, they’re understanding too, all really great.’

Taking sventh place in Acton, The Rehearsal Rooms is a rental-only development managed by Savills in West London, right next door to North Acton station. There are 173 units here, which range from one to three-bedroom apartments. The building overlooks Victoria Road and is next to Acton Cemetery, plus there are several amenities within walking distance, such as a Tesco and Sainsbury’s, Costa Coffee, a Chinese food store, an iGym, and McDonald’s.

Sitting in eighth, L&Q at Acton Gardens in an award-winning development which boasts ‘vibrant spirits’. L&Q are offering homes rent as well as buying options at Acton Gardens. The development benefits from being only a two-minute walk from Acton Town station, which is serviced by the Piccadilly and District lines. In addition, it is also just 10-minutes from the popular Gunnersbury Park, home of the Gunnersbury Park Museum.

Churchfield Quarter by L&Q comprises of a range of one, two and three-bedroom homes for sale via Shared Ownership. Our ninth-placed contender, the development has direct access to the high street and Churchfield Road. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and cafés nearby and also local parks in Acton, such as Heathfield Gardens. Residents told us that the local bus and rail links are comprehensive, and the apartments and communal areas are well kept. Most of the apartments face inwards to the communal garden/park, which helps to reduce traffic noise.

Taking the final spot in our prestigious top 10, Acton Gardens is a 52-acre redevelopment scheme with 3,400 new homes on site, each with their own private balcony or terrace. Neighbouring Chiswick and Shepherds Bush, residents are situated between five train stations, including South Acton and Acton Town, with connections to Overground services as well as to the District and Piccadilly lines. In addition, a number of shops are popping up on Acton high street, and it’s a pleasant walk towards Chiswick high street.
