As a mid-sized city of over 250,000 people, it’s large enough to have plenty going on, but not so large that it becomes impersonal. In fact, Derby was voted the UK’s third safest large city in 2018, as crime remains low while health and social care availability levels are high.

Another major attraction of living in Derby is how affordable it is. In Jun 2021, a major national survey placed Derby at the top of the list as the UK’s most affordable city.
