The HomeViews team regularly visits communities run by operators and developers we partner with. This helps us to better understand how they work and to see for ourselves what residents are talking about in their reviews. Last week, Rory, Hannah and Ella headed to UKREiiF and got to soak up some multi-award-winning hospitality at Moda’s New York Square development in Leeds’ cultural district. Here we’ll get the team’s impressions of their three-day stay at this hugely popular partner development.

“The rooms in our apartment were spacious and the interiors outstanding. Looking around the amenities in the building they were clearly very well maintained and very popular with residents.
“Staff were super friendly and helpful – nothing was a problem for them. It was great to see HomeViews reviews everywhere, from the giant hoarding in front of the building to their many awards displayed on the front desk, and also the ‘Write a Review’ sign in the lifts. Collecting and responding to resident feedback is a big part of Moda‘s culture and the benefits are plain to see.
“The location was excellent as well. I forgot to pack a brolly, so the huge John Lewis a short walk away was very convenient.”

“Throughout our stay we felt a strong sense of community in and around the building. In the evening the lounge area on the ground floor was very well used with different groups enjoying a takeout and chatting together.
“Our apartment included a well-stocked fridge, with, milk, drinks, tea, coffee and an abundance of snacks which got raided after long days and evenings networking – a very welcome touch from a team who made us feel so at home.”

“New York Square felt very safe. Coming back at night, once I got through the fobbed doors on the ground floor, I instantly felt safe and secure.
“I was at uni in Leeds and this part of town didn’t feel safe back then, but the regeneration of the area is clear to see. Schools and great shopping options are now so close by, as well as the centre of the city.
“Residents we met were multicultural and a highly diverse mix, from students to families. I met one resident celebrating her 6th birthday! Our rooms were very well soundproofed, giving a lovely sense of calm in such a central location.
“A HUGE thank you to Moda and the wonderful team at New York Square for giving us a taste of the amazing resident experience there.”
