We’re on a mission to create a community where people can trust the content they read and those being reviewed feel safe. That’s why, when you write and submit a review, you’ll notice a short delay before it’s published. This is so we can verify it against our guidelines…
A review must be…relevant and valuable
We believe all residents have something to say and information to share about their experiences, but to ensure this comes through in each review, we ask for a minimum of 250 characters. That way, you’re more likely to leave enough valuable and insightful content to help our community. Read our advice on what makes a great review.
A review must be…respectful and family friendly
HomeViews doesn’t allow profanity, or any vulgarities in reviews or responses. We also remove reviews that include sexually explicit comments, hate speech, prejudiced language, threats, descriptions of illegal activity or personal insults.
A review must be…unbiased
HomeViews does not allow smear campaigns or fake reviews and has procedures in place to verify residents. Read about our review verification process.
A review must be…non-commercial
Reviews are designed to provide advice to prospective residents, not to advertise a service or business. If we believe this is happening within a review, we reserve the right to delete it.
A review must be…recent
The best reviews are those written within a year of the experience, so we don’t publish reviews about anywhere you haven’t lived in or visited for more than a year. Bear in mind we only accept one review per development. So if you’re an owner of multiple flats within a building you can only leave one review for the building. If you create an account with us and things change, you can log-in later and write a new review.
If any reviews don’t pass our criteria checks, we contact the reviewer to let them know, giving them an opportunity to make any edits necessary.
