Virtual viewings are becoming the norm as the UK property industry seeks to adapt to the challenges posed by the Coronavirus. Housebuilders, landlords and agents are allowing house hunters to use virtual viewings, video tours and FaceTime meetings to work around current social distancing measures recommended by the Government.
Virtual viewings
As we at HomeViews continue to work from our kitchens, bedrooms and man-caves, we take a look at three options that will allow you to research, view and choose your new home – all from the comfort and safety of your home. Read the reviews on HomeViews, take a virtual tour, then Facetime the agent with all your questions… let’s go!
Fizzy Living for London renters
Looking to rent in London? Want to browse by video and virtual tour? No problem! Fizzy Living have seven developments across the capital and are offering video and virtual tours of all their flats and buildings.
Fizzy are a ‘Build to Rent’ landlord, meaning their buildings are designed with tenants in mind. You only have to look at their resident reviews to see how well that works! Last year we awarded them a Rating of Excellence – take a closer look at their reviews, developments and listings here.
Clippers Quay for Manchester apartments
Clippers Quay in Manchester is another stunning example of a development built especially around the needs of tenants. Take a virtual tour of the building, including the on-site gym, residents’ lounge, cinema room, work zones and private gardens. We wouldn’t mind self-isolating here…
The building is owned and managed by Grainger. Have a look at some Grainger reviews on HomeViews and you’ll see how popular they are with residents! Jon Pitt, their Director of Lettings, gave us a quick update on arranging viewings:
“At Clippers Quay we have arranged ‘virtual viewings’ for our show apartments, resident amenity space, as well as a selection of our available apartments. We’re encouraging people to use this as a tool in place of visits to the building.”
Allsop for Manchester/Newcastle renters
Property consultancy Allsop are offering video tours to interested renters at The Forge (Newcastle), Duet (Manchester) and The Trilogy (Manchester) developments. All three receive consistently excellent reviews on HomeViews. The management teams have been working flat-out to provide outstanding service to their residents during lockdown.
They’ve organised a series of virtual events, including Zoom personal training sessions/yoga, an interactive pub quiz with free beer delivered outside apartment doors, wellness webinars and interactive cooking classes. Residents have also received food packages, and vacant apartments have been made available to residents working from home who need a quiet space to work in.
Fairview: London/Home Counties buyers
Interested in buying a new home in London or the Home Counties? Now’s a great time! Fairview are one of a number of housebuilders preparing for virtual tours in the summer. Livechat is now available on their website so you can chat with their team and ask them any questions you have.
They are currently filming virtual tours of their developments, with Regency Heights the first due to be available. Get in touch with their team to find out more and discover which of their developments will be next.
