What is SW6 famous for?
SW6 is widely known as the postcode area for Fulham, one of the capital’s most enduringly desirable areas with row upon row of charming terraced houses and tree-lined avenues. The area is also home to Fulham Broadway and North End Road, vibrant shopping and dining areas with the latter home to a famous street market.
Perhaps SW6’s biggest claim to fame, though, is as the home of two of London’s most historic football clubs. There’s big-spending, title winning Chelsea at one end of the area with their Stamford Bridge home. Meanwhile, beside the Thames on the other side of SW6 is Fulham FC’s charming home, Craven Cottage, with its Grade II Listed status.

SW6 is one of the best-connected areas in the west and south-west of London. The District Line has stations at Fulham Broadway, Parsons Green and Putney Bridge while there are also London Overground services at Imperial Wharf and West Brompton. The area is also served by numerous bus routes, providing access towards neighbouring Hammersmith, Kensington, Chelsea and Wandsworth.
