Good walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants, very nice to have Boxpark nearby. I personally have no reason to use the train as I own a car so I’m sure the location of East Croydon Station is helpful for others. I did find it disappointing that there’s no resident parking (I was made aware of this before signing the agreement) even though there’s a sign that states “Resident parking” which I think should be removed as misleading. I understand that this building offers discounted rent and I figure that’s why we weren’t even allowed to apply for a parking permit, I just found it funny that the agency suggested I could use council parking which was absolutely extortionate. I ended up renting a space in a multi-storey car park 15 minutes walk away from the building just to try and save money. I would also like to point out that the trains are quite loud going over the tracks and I’m on the 19th floor.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Not really, had some helpful maintenance when we first moved in as the sink was blocked.

When viewing the property, it wasn’t a realistic representation of how loud the trains are when you’re living there.

Like the area, relatively quiet street off of a busy road. Options for food/bars/supermarkets are limited. Shopping centres have a good range of clothes shops but again not many nice restaurants/bars in the area. Could also benefit from a local supermarket with wide enough variety for a weekly food shop other than the Sainsbury’s nearby.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
All of the issues we reported were seen to within a week.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The building is creaky in the wind which raises doubts regarding safety - would be great to receive reassurance this is normal/checked on etc.

The location is great at Verse! I love being in the city centre but not in the middle. Our street is quiet with M&S nearby, bus stops, entry to the mall, and cute coffee shops nearby!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Our management team always responds to us and is more than willing to help which has made our time at Verse awesome and we really appreciate that.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I have never had such a small washer/dryer that is all in one and doesn’t work super great so I wish I knew that. I also didn’t expect to have a mini fridge considering every spot I’ve ever lived has had a full size fridge. Other than that it’s been great to live here, super clean, great location, and has a lot to offer!

Thank you for making my move to Exeter so seamless! The Gorge is in a great location, very easy to walk to the city centre.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Management have been very quick to respond to any problems raised.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
No specific tips! Visit the building if possible before as it allows you to meet people/get a sense of what it would be like to live here

The location is perfect, you are a short walk into town where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. It is ideal if you work at Heavitree or Wonford Hospital as you are only a stones through away. There is no parking and quite a lot of street noise which we didn't mind.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes, the residents team were quick to address any issues raised.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
There is no parking which isn't ideal. It took months for the Council to sort out the banding, which resulted in us having a large council tax back dated bill. (This isn't the Gorge's fault) There is a lack of washing machines for the number of residents who live at the Gorge, often I would be unable to do my washing as all four were occupied, I think that the Gym and Cinema room are too small for the amount of residents. I would also say be aware that there is A LOT of maintenance issues happening all the time, I have numerous emails from the residents team making residents aware that there is more on going work happening around the building.
