Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Opposite woods with walking trails. Very quiet and peaceful. A major reason to buying in this area and specific development. Yet 10 mins from a major motorway linking London to the South and Midlands to the North.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Contruction still ongoing so can be noisy early in the mornings .

What is the best feature of your home:

Internal layout is very well designed for modern living. Location (opposite Woods) is great

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The open spaces are good and well maintained. Good transport links and easy to get tovLondon and the M40 to go further afield. Only thing is the lack of local shops within walking distance, but there are good shops and shopping a short drive away.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Berkley homes responds well and quickly, however the estate management company are not the best with poor parking management

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would check with the team any big restrictions on the garden space.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area feels safe with excellent access to High Wycombe and motorway links, yet feels like we live in the country.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Always prompt, helpful and keep us updated on progress

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The Ride (public space) was delayed from opening for the 1st 8 months of living here. Now open partially but unfinished but still a great space

Abbey Barn Park is a friendly, welcoming neighbourhood with open space

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Abbey Barn Park feels tucked away with a woodland border and a new country park as part of the development. You can't walk to any shops, but they are all a short drive away. There is a bus service running to/from the High Wycombe train station in the mornings and evenings. The M40 runs nearby, but it isn't noticeable within the homes nor is the motorway noticeably loud outside. Parking throughout the development is allocated and if you have visitors, you can book them into a parking spot using an app. You cannot park on the street unless it is in a designated bay and we appreciate this as it keeps access on the roads opens and contributes to the overall look of the neighbourhood. The neighbours have all been lovely and it is nice moving in around the same time and getting to know everyone. The park is one of the best features and while it isn't done yet (Winter 2021), it is hoped that once the playgrounds and fitness trail equipment are added, it will be even more enjoyable.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Fortunately, we only had a few snags since moving in and they have been handled quickly- especially the ones we picked up early on just as we moved in. Now that it has been several months, it is taking longer to get responses from our Customer Service Rep, but it is hoped that they will continue to work with us to resolve the issues. Thankfully, they have been relatively minor issues.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We wished we had asked more about what we could upgrade or add to our home. We added more to our patio area in our back garden and we added a front doormat in our entryway. Apparently, some of our neighbours had other features added or changed. We are happy that most of what we saw in the showhomes is standard, but there are a few things I would have changed or added if I could have. So if you are buying off plan, ask a lot of questions and try to anticipate what you might need and where in the home.

Lovely development

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It is a lovely place, however (and I obviously knew this in advance) there are no shops or bars in walking distance. When it links to the other development they may come. The outside spaces however are amazing and there are great towns with good night life a short taxi ride/ car journey away!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have responded very quickly and efficiently, sorting all concerns that have been raised.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The air vents in the windows do allow more external noise that I would have liked. Also would have been good to understand the thermostats could not be controlled wirelessly.
