Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good local amenities - train station 10 minute walk away, co-op and nursery on the development. Lots of green space as well.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Generally quite good support after moving in, however the developer has acknowledged that the fitted toilet seats have a design fault meaning they are liable to break and palmed us off to the manufacturer. Smart meter was also not set up properly and they have told us to speak to British Gas who have said to speak to the developer, so we have got nowhere with this.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would make sure to speak to neighbours regarding problems that they have had which may require remedial works as these may not be apparent at first.

Nice and quiet area with train station 5-10 minute walk away, local shops and nursery on the development.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have responded to some issues well but have passed the buck on a number of issues such as SMART meters not being hooked up properly or refusing to replace toilet seats which they have admitted are essentially faulty and liable to break, passing on responsibility to the manufacturer.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would speak with neighbours about issues they have had as you will likely have similar and checking in advance for these will help you to get them resolved. An example would be one of our bathrooms missing insulation on the wall - every other house on our row had the same issue, I believe.

Lovely village. Well located development, on the edge a lovely village. 2 small supermarkets nearby and the development is a 5 minute walk from the train station. The play area near by is nice for the kids.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The wind blowing across the airfield is incredibly strong at times and having some garden storage to keep things safe is essential. The smart metres have not been set up correctly and unfortunately neither Cala nor British Gas have taken responsibility for this.

What is the best feature of your home:

The location and our cul de sac is designed beautifully. The area is quiet.

Incredible location with a mai line into London, friendly village, huge open spaces and countryside on your doorstep.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes - responded and dealt with snags in a timely fashion.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Take careful consideration on parking. Some problems with commuters initially, but removed since covid.

The new Co-op shop is super close, as is the train station. The village is lovely too. And the neighbours are very friendly!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the neighbourhood is very friendly and has a real sense of community (Facebook group, WhatsApp etc).

Please share one thing (or more) which you would change about your development:

If I could change one thing it would be the water pressure (it is pretty low).
