The access to local shops is fine, only a short walk or drive to the nearest stores or supermarkets, our house luckily is far enough away from the main road that you don't hear the traffic, however I wouldn't like to live close to the front of the development as the main road is very busy.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The company are terrible to deal with, luckily most of the issues with our house have been minor, but I dread to think if we had something seriously wrong with the house, how long it would take for Avant to resolve the issue

What is the best feature of your home:

The open plan living space in the living room/dining area

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good local shops, restaurants and takeaways. Variety of pubs and parks. Good bus service at end of street and Alfreton train station a 10/15 minute walk away. I have had no issues on my street. Parking can sometimes be an issue. No traffic noise.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Response has been slow for some issues, and only done for up to 2 years after moving in.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

If buying from new - get a professional snagger and report problems by month 18 to get them completed.

We have very good train and driving links to the surrounding areas. You get some traffic noise from the M1, but nothing that would keep you up all night.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any issues raised have been dealt with, we spoke to the site manager and some were sorted next day.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Negotiate your price! We managed to grab a bargain in our eyes.

Transport links are good in the area, with regular buses and it being a short walk from a train station. Also close to the M1. Very few facilities within walking distance and only one, below average pub.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very slowly with little urgency to resolve issues.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known more about the local area, I have found many lovely benefits to being close to countryside.

Quality of shops is very good, amenities are close by with a budget and bigger super market just down the road, petrol station 2 minutes away.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Normally done through the site manager as customer service are like chocolate fireguards.

There aren’t any good pubs/ restaurants within walking distance
