Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

This is our holiday home so as such we are very happy with our purchase here in North Berwick which is a popular tourist destination. We have had no problems with the local services.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We have been fortunate having a plot at the top of the development, but several plots had flooding issues, and there were extra drains put at the rear of our property as there was the equivalent of a stream coming down the side of the garage.

What is the best feature of your home:

We love the location. We were fortunate to have a good choice of plots and although we initially wanted a small plot, the larger plot we ended up with has proved beneficial especially when the family come to stay.

Dandara in North Berwick. An excellent place to live.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area is wonderful. It is not surprising that it has been voted the number one place to live in Scotland. It is a small town which retains a rural and rustic vibe. There are a range of independent shops on the high street, a number of bars and restaurants and larger chain supermarkets. Transport links to Edinburgh via train and bus, make it a fantastic commuter town into the city. There is a parking issue within the town, I do believe that enough noise is being made for action to be taken on this soon.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish that I had ascertained the anticipated degree of the garden slope. By which I mean to nail the developer down to an actual figure in degrees. The development has been built on a hill and consequently, the gardens are far from flat.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature of the Laurel is the open plan kitchen/Diner. This is where we spend most of our time as a family and it has become the real hub of our home.

Great potential, great place, but poor finishing and customer care

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

North Berwick is a lovely place to live generally. Transport - quite far from train station (30 min walk), very poor safety paths for walking/cycling to school. Very poor that there is no footpath through to Tesco. Parking availability on our street very poor, made worse by site traffic being disrespectful constantly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Expect delays with once here great place to live.

What is the best feature of your home:

Gorgeous looking house, well designed. Great layouts and exterior looks.

A beautiful home in a credited 'place to be'

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Barley Brae development is sited on the Eastern outskirts of North Berwick. Dundara have been very helpful with initial minor snagging, and have corrected some of the initial drainage and landscaping issuesWithin a few hundred yards there is access to two supermarkets, petrol, and free cashline. A short walk to the beautiful beach, or into the town where there is an array of quality restaurants and shopping. A regular bus service to Edinburgh passes the rail station, offering a choice of transport.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We only had 30minutes to view the house before purchase, and our handover time was compromised by the arrival of our furniture.

What is the best feature of your home:

The open kitchen/ diner/ sunroof sold the house for us
