Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Hurstpierpoint is a lovely village with a few nice pubs, and some great local shops. Our street is great, we’ve not had any issues at all really.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Gateway as a company don’t seem to be very involved or communicative. Bovis have been okay.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Some gardens have serious drainage issues!! The houses aren’t very soundproof.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good aspects- near village, cut through to high street and school. Quiet & calm area surrounded by woodland. Bad aspects- the odd car driving like an idiot (you would get that anywhere!) Flood plane- this whole development was built on a flood plane. It seems our house is most affected ?‍♀️

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Quickly since the lovely Craig started. Before that slow & rubbish!

That out house might flood & cause heartache & stress you could do without!

Living in Hurst in general is amazing. Very safe community. Very picturesque. Wonderful place to live for families.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Snagging issues still being resolved 3 years later!!!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish I'd known the whole estate was built on a floodplain. Wish we hadn't been lied to about pretty much every detail.....

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Our local are is beautiful. We have been villagers for 12 years now and would never move out of hurst. Excellent schools, really cute shops, friendly people. The negative points are the high street chaos (traffic) and the danger coming out of idenhurst onto busy cuckfield road.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Watch for top soil being put onto your garden. They missed ours off and most of the developments off. This was the starting point of the poor/non existent drainage that caused our house to flood. Don't believe everything you hear from sales office. Always check with customer services before you sign on the dotted line. Be prepared for snags. If you buy a house on bramble you are fortunate that you will have the best community around you. Very supportive, kind and wonderful neighbours.

Garden- we could have paid out ££££ to have our garden dug up and sorted out. Frankly when you buy a £600k house we didn't expect to have to do this. Plus.... Bovis would have loved us to do it to solve their problem that they should be rectifying. Out of principle we left them to do it.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Parking can be difficult due to contractors still on site. The local area is fantastic with a lovely high street.

The lawn was really poor.

I would like to have bigger bedrooms, as they are slightly on the small side
