Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There is a local co-op and around the corner which is well sourced and a restaurant which is open in the week and weekends too. There is an abundance of open spaces used by dog walkers and members of the declipment.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Responded to emails accordingly in order to resolve any issues.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Have a professional snagging survey carried out separate to the housing developer.

Living in my local area has its good and bad aspects

David I (Owner)

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in my local area has its good and bad aspects. On the positive side, I love the strong sense of community and connection with my neighbors. We have access to great local amenities such as parks, restaurants, and cultural events, which makes it a vibrant and lively place to live. However, on the negative side, there are some areas that have issues with stealing. Additionally, the cost of living can be high in certain neighborhoods, and job opportunities and the quality of the school are good. Overall, I believe that my local area has more good than bad, but it's important to evaluate these factors carefully before deciding to live here. In my opinion, there are both good and bad aspects of living in a local area. On the positive side, it can provide a great sense of community and connection with neighbors, as well as access to various local amenities and job opportunities. However, on the negative side, there may be issues with crime and safety, high living costs, traffic congestion, and limited access to good schools and healthcare. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of any local area before deciding to live there, while also taking into account individual needs and preferences.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management is responsible for maintaining the overall well-being of a residential building. When problems or issues are raised by residents, it's important for building management to respond promptly and professionally. Effective building management should prioritize fixing maintenance issues and addressing safety concerns.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It would have been helpful to know that the area experiences frequent power outages, so that I could have prepared with backup lighting and a portable phone charger.

Good development with great promise for the future

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area of Houlton is beginning to grow with facilities improving. We now have the co-op, along with the Tuning Fork restaurant and facilities such as the school, nursery and a collaborative workspace. It is unfortunate that the primary school is currently full with waiting lists, as people from outside of Houlton have places but children from this area have to travel much further afield for their education. I hope this stabilises and the school expands in the near future. The bus route is convenient and you can get to many areas in and around the Rugby area, including the train station, with ease. We have previously had bin collections missed, but once reported has been resolved within the week. In our area, we tend to find people would rather park in the road outside other people’s houses when their own driveway is available, however there is adequate parking for 2 cars per household. There is surprisingly little traffic noise considering the proximity to the train line, A5 and M1.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any issues raised to the developer within our warranty were dealt with promptly. Issues within the first week would be dealt with on that day and people checked in with us regularly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had clearer information about the facilities being built in the future, including the David Lloyd gym and doctors surgery.
