Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The estate is set back from the main road. Shops and pubs are within walking distance and there are plenty of walks you can go on. Schools and buses are nearby and you are on the edge of the motorway which is ideal. Great area to live in, spacious, clean and noise free. Lots of green areas and fresh clean air.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Response time to any snags or problems in the first two years is very good, please you have the help of NHCB if you come across more serious problems.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wasn't very clear on the final design of the house and wanted to make a few changes, which you cannot do as they have to be made to their spec, ridiculous as you are buying a new house from ground up so surely you should be able to make minor changes

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area is fairly quiet and peaceful, with the Preston Guild Wheel accessible directly off the estate. There is a good range of shops nearby including a large Asda supermarket, an Aldi, a B&M etc.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Our house had many snags which were all eventually addressed but did take many months through persistent communication.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Would recommend choosing your plot very carefully and check any future building etc which may be planned. We are fortunate to be in a home which is not overlooked etc. but we know of neighbours who have seen huge warehouse-style buildings appear right opposite their homes.

Great area to live in, wide open spaces, close to motorways, schools and amenities. Clean, fresh and friendly neighbourhood, no noise or anti-social behaviour.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes all problems raised were dealt with quickly and efficiently

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Solar panels, some houses now have them and we were not given the chose even after the development was finished.

Dissatisfied overall

B W N (Owner)

Dec 2021

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Amenities in the local area is not bad and generally a stones throw away. We live on a cul d sac so generally speaking quiet aside from the continued building taking place at 7:30am on weekends which is not good. The road is vey narrow which makes it hard getting in and out if other properties have guests at their homes. The road lay outs through out the site is not great and the paths and curbs throughout development is not great seeing as it’s a new development the tarmac is cracked and curbs damaged by trucks etc which could be a safety issue.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes but the level of workmanship/care on these issues are not to the standard you’d expect for a so called 5* builder and we still have issues on going that need sorting 18 months on. Have had to escalate on a couple of issues to the CEO/owner as Storys thought the issues were acceptable.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The build quality and issues throughout the site.
