Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living on Gell Street is great if you love being in the heart of the city. The location is ideal—I can walk to shops, restaurants, and bars in minutes. There’s always something happening nearby, whether it’s grabbing a coffee, meeting friends for food, or just enjoying Devonshire Green. That little park is a lifesaver when you need some fresh air or a quiet spot. Transport is super convenient, with buses and trams close by, but I barely need them because everything’s so central. The street itself is a mix of old and new. The buildings have loads of character, which I love, but the area can get noisy at times, especially at night when the bars nearby are busy. It’s part of the charm of living in a lively area, but it might not be for everyone. Bin collections are pretty reliable, and the council does a decent job keeping the area tidy. Occasionally, you’ll spot a bit of litter or hear some late-night commotion, but I’ve never felt unsafe here.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Whenever there’s been a problem, whether it’s a maintenance issue or a request for repairs, the management team has been quick to acknowledge it and often resolves the issue within a reasonable time frame.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Guidelines about setting up utilities. Water, electricity and wifi.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Location is ideal, with access to the University of Sheffield, shops and restaurants on West Street and Division street, Springfield Primary School, and Gell Street Park.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They have generally handled maintenance requests well; I had the roof repaired once and bathroom issues sorted.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
A lot of natural light comes into the top floors; however, there are more stairs to climb.

Hi Tom, Thank you for taking the time to provide your detailed feedback. We appreciate your positive comments about our central location and the convenience it offers for shops, bars, and other amenities. We understand that this comes with some noise and other challenges, which we continually strive to manage. We’re sorry to hear about the issues you’ve experienced, particularly with soundproofing, water pressure, and heating during the colder months. We recognise that these are significant concerns. We are committed to addressing these problems; therefore, we have brought this to the attention of our wider team. We apologise for any inconvenience you’ve faced and appreciate your patience. Best regards, Holly
