Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We love our little street we live on. We have wonderful neighbours and don't have any problems with neighbouring noise as we are tucked away in the development and not located on the main road. We have the train located near us, which we hear ever so often but honestly is not a problem for us as its barely any noise. A negative about the development would be the rubbish and overall cleanliness of the neighbourhood. We are having an issue with couple of neighbours down the road that don't pick up after themselves and its quite frustrating coming home everyday seeing the rubbish lying around - particularly on the main road coming into the Glisk development. In terms of local shops, we only have an Asda and Aldi near by. We have to drive towards Wallasey (about 15 minutes away) to go get a broader option of shops like Tescos and Lidl. However, we have Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet just 5 minutes away which is convenient. We also have a lovely service station right by the development which is great ! We do wish that the development was located in a better area as Ellesmere Port is quite a "rough" neighbourhood.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish we had known more about Ellesmere Port as we aren't to fond about it .

What is the best feature of your home:

Our bright and spacious Kitchen, Large main bedroom , Floor to ceiling windows, and functional Loo-tality.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The estate is great, everybody seems friendly and there are no issues with noise. It’s still a surprise being so close to a train line and motor way, that we do not hear either. However, there are a lack facilities. There is a petrol station with a shop down the road but it would be beneficial to have something centred within the estate (shop, cafe, etc).

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How easily people can see in through the windows, we have managed to easily rectify this with window tint stickers, but it would have been nice to know.

What is the best feature of your home:

The bathroom. Having the ability to have a rainfall shower and a bath, whilst not feeling cramped, is very handy and perfect for all needs.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Really close to Cheshire Oaks so there is an array of shops and restaurants a short drive away, there are a few open area to walk that are close by, there is little to no noise of traffic even being this close to the motorway, all neighbors are super friendly, however I do wish there was a cafe/bar on the estate to make it feel more of a close community

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The Wi-Fi is restricted to only a company called grain, and no satellite dishes are allowed to be installed, it would have been good to hear about prior so there was no wasted time trying to plan bills using companies that weren’t accessible to the area

What is the best feature of your home:

The light and heating has been great as I can control everything from my phone even when I am away from the house, I can even schedule the heating so I can come home to a warm house after work which is always a great thing to arrive home too

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Our neighbourhood is lovely . We are really happy with our surrounding neighbours. The only thing negative we have to say about the neighbourhood is that the litter is really terrible . Entering Glisk can feel quite unwelcoming when it comes to the slightly litter lying around the houses . This is mostly on Jackswood avenue . This is the same when entering the forest as there is rubbish lying everywhere . Other than that Glisk is lovely . With regards to local shops, I don’t feel like there is a massive variety however if you drive further down to Bromborough , there’s much better shops in terms of options. We don’t have any problems with traffic noise or bad behaviour on our street. We are very pleased with how quiet it is . We don’t have problems with bin collections. Parking isn’t a problem either , our guests park on the curb and we park in our designated parking in front of our home.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish we could have seen what a daily life looks like in the neighbourhood . The litter around the forest and the neighbourhood wasn’t as evident when we viewed the showroom - I do wish we would have seen that to know what to expect from our neighbours . I think it would have also been great for us to know more about the area as we weren’t too familiar with it as we aren’t originally from the UK . Ellesmere Port isn’t the greatest neighbourhood to live in however the Glisk makes it feel like an entirely different area amongst all the other developments surrounding us.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature . Hmmm, I’d probably say I have three. That would be the lootality - I love the functionality of the space , the kitchen - I love how open plan and spacious it is , allowing us to use the space how we want to , and lastly our spacious master bedroom - it is so large and spacious for a new build home
