Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The good: The general area of this development is great, you are within walking distance of some lovely green spaces and will (eventually) have access to two schools and a doctors surgery on your doorstep. Locking village is also lovely and within walking distance. Here there are a few shops a café and a great pub (try the burgers!). The bad: St Modwen prioritise selling new properties over making those already built livable. There is always mud all over the roads, contractors parked blocking roads and constant noise from 7:30am. Where a small park is supposed to be build, they have put the parking for their sales office and instead of completing a road where residents already live, they have started building the higher value properties instead.

I wish St Modwen had been clear about the stage of the build surrounding our property, currently our house is in the middle of a building site and we feel they took advantage of us because we are first time buyers.

What is the best feature of your home:

The use of space - there is no wasted space and it feels light a airy Quality of the build on the house itself - we had limited snags and have been impressed with the overall quality

The estate in general is good, once we get the “high street” it will be better as currently we have no shops at all. The noise levels are good and it is a very clean and tidy estate

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The Building Management company are useless, no help at all

It would have been good to know about the lack of after sales service before moving in. This has been the only downfall, along with the Building Management company. Very poor service, very poor response and a real shame.

Lovely park close by for walks, very green! Even though it’s an estate it still feels green and open! Shops close by but only by driving! Even though close to motor way very quiet! Parking outside property which is great!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I have had no issues that I have had to raise as of yet

Not any shops within near walking distance

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It’s a really nice area with generally friendly people. It has good access to the motorway and nearby shops within Weston. There seems a to be a increase in motorcyclists revving their engines but this is only occasionally. There is also commonly a strong smell of weed around the properties near the entrance to the development.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very slow to respond and usually seem a bit rude of short in their responses

That the green area weren’t going to be protected

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good transport links, Train station is 5 minutes down the road in Worle or Weston-Super-Mare, bus service that operates through the site and just outside, reliable recycling service. Not many developments have the quantity of open space that this one does. Excellent for dog walkers, and those that love the outdoors.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, I contacted them regarding insulation in our loft, and they responded promptly and talked me through what I needed to know.

How well built the houses are compared to other developers. We looked at a number of new build developments and nothing was built to the standard and spec of St Modwen.
