Nice and quiet but with some issues

Tilly (Owner)

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Nice and quiet place to live, but the phone signal is next to non-existent. The streets are too narrow for the volume of traffic and the number of cars parked along the road due to lacking off-road parking space.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We didn't buy the house from new and haven't reported any problems or issses so I can't comment on this.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The poor phone signal would have made us think twice about moving here.

Beautiful location and homes, but some hiccups

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area is beautiful, quiet and has access to good services like shops and health care. The walks are lovely and very little local noise

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Slowly unfortunately. Raising issues to the aftercare team has required a number of chaser contacts - while these are small issues, they are big to us as they have really impacted our enjoyment of our new home.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Check the water and soil quality independently as these have been hard to adapt around for cleaning maintenance.

Development has plenty of green areas and is maintained well.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Haslington is a lovely village with plenty of local amenities. Generally quiet with good local authority connections.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I haven't had to deal with any building management as a second owner.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There is only a certain number of broadband providers which can supply the estate.

A new build estate, but quite a nice one

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local shops are very limited since it's a small village. But the closest town is good and not an inconvenience to travel to by car. There are several bars, restaurants and takeaways to choose from in the town too. Transport links seem to be good. Personally I use my own, but there are several bus stops within walking distance of the estate. Our street is okay. The houses clearly.are not designed for a two car household as many of our street have to park one on the driveway, one ok the road. The roads are also very narrow which doesn't help the situation. As it seems with most new builds, we're packed in like sardines to make the most of the land and profits of the building company. Traffic noise is moderate since the main roadway on our estate isn't currently open due to the development so it's to be seen if this calms down. The main road away from the estate is barely noticeable from my location. Bin collections are consistent and as you'd expect.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We have had no issues raised personally so cannot comment. There was a sunken area of road which did take several weeks to be spotted and rectified, but other than that we've had no issues.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How overlooked and closed in we'd feel. The shear amount of traffic due to the main road not being accessible. How small the entry way was to the back yard. How either side plots have, what should be, our space for bins and/or passage ways.

Very happy

Tash (Tenant)

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very happy with services and location- only feedback I would give is the layout of the house and the size of the kitchen in comparison to other rooms. The shed is also oddly located in the garden placed in the only area of the garden that gets sun

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Everyone is friendly but watch the parking
