Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Charlton Hayes is brilliantly located for amenities. We have a choice of 3 large supermarkets all within a 5 minute drive as well as some new local supermarkets that were built as part of the development. Transport links are acceptable with the addition of a new train station being proposed. Streets are relatively tidy on the whole but bin collections are regular. Hardly any traffic noise but there is some anti-social behaviour mainly caused by younger teenagers. On the whole there is a sense of a growing community as the development nears completion.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes and no. Some things have been addressed but smaller issues are yet to be seen. There are mitigating circumstance, however, as we moved in during lockdown.

I would recommend new purchasers do further research into who manages the affordable houses that all new developments have to fill a quota on. It also became clear that houses that weren't initially advertised as affordable houses were quickly being sold to the housing association rather than private owners. I'm assuming because they weren't being sold quickly enough.

The location of the estate is amazing it is within walking distance of so many attractions.

That my house was going to be broken into the first week I moved in.

Lots of shops available, parks not yet built but plans have been submitted. Open space taking a while to get sorted and made useable which is disappointing. Traffic noise no issue, however roads are appalling, tonnes of potholes and unfinished streets. Parking not fully sorted resulting in people parking wherever they like. Bin collections have been fab.

answered the message but then ignored us, false promises

Absolutely love living in the area. Considering building is still going on in and around the area and not just houses it’s fairly maintained and not that disruptive.

All has been all above board and have been very impressed

Great location and development! Not really good design outside but no choice. Garden fences are not good sets and poor quality.

It’s good but you have to chase them. Otherwise problem is always solved.

It would be nice to have read view ( kind of VR so I can see exactly what I have to expect.
