Hoadlands Grange, a pleasant place to live

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good location to the village which has a small selection of shops and nice pub and food.. nymans national trust in village but is close to A23 and noise from road. Parking could be better as will all new developments

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The management hasn't been overly great, dead trees on developments got reported multiple times over years but never sorted.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Local transport links not the best, goes to Crawley but not Horsham. BT had 2 year ownership of Internet lines so not able to compare.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

This is a smallish development situated in a beautiful rural village with instant access to many wonderful walks and open spaces. As such with a village, whilst there is a great hardware store, butchers and cafe plus a pub and a Spa shop, there are relatively few shopping facilities as you would expect. However, it’s 2 minutes drive to the A23/M23, 10 minutes drive to Crawley, 15 to Horsham. Regular busses, no local station. Nymans Gardens (Nat Trust) is less than 10 minutes walk away. There is no traffic through the development other than for access, no parking issues on my part of the site, and whilst I’m sure there are some parking issues elsewhere on site generally I would say that it’s much better than many current developments. There is road noise from the A23. Unaware of any antisocial issues.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Other than the lack of snagging after care I have had no other building management issues to raise.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Fabulous local area if you value quiet walks and countryside. Dreadful after sales service from the developer.

Handcross is a quiet village with a few local shops / hairdressers and a very handy hardware store.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Has escalated issues reported to correct people and has dealt with in a good timely manner

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Property management company assigned to the building not great but not the developers fault.

Handy location, well built homes, customer service letting the site down

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Handcross is a small village/hamlet - there are two local shop, butcher, hardware store, coffee shop and pub. Handy location for Balcombe station (10 min drive) which goes to London in 40 mins. Next to a junction for the m23 which goes to Brighton or up to Gatwick and you can be on the m25 in under half an hour. Being next to the m23 you can hear the hum of the motorway but you get used to it within a few months.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Easy things solved, anything more is a struggle and you have to keep chasing them

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Original Handcross residents don’t like newcomers to the village. Often negative comments against on the new site on the Facebook group. The gardens don’t come with much patio so most people have now changed and enlarged it.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

This is my first time buying and I never thought I would be here. The estate is lovely and so quite. There is not trouble and Crest have going out of there way to make me feel at home. A huge thank you to Sandy who has been just wonderful!! There could be more parking but I understands it was a tight spot to add homes in. The ground are kept well and the buildings look nice.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes they are good to fix everything I. Due course!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Only issue is that a supermarket is some distance. I thought there would be more shops in the village but sadly there is not. Shame really. I hope more shops open.
