Cosy developments a step away from Winchester center

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very close to city center and station. Plenty of paths to have a walk, including the Meadows. Transport links could be better though.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Most issues were dealt with on time, however quite a few little bits seem like they've been forgotten abd will need reminding.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I discovered where the water meter was only after the water company told me where to look for it. Don't think it was mentioned in the handover paperwork.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There is quite a lot of anti social behaviour where a couple of neighbours play music into the early hours and allow their children to play in the road

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes when I have had issues with my home they have been to see me very quickly

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How long it is going to take to finish the houses and how many of them there is going to be

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are no shops/ restaurants or parks in my area. It’s very busy with builders and heavy plant machines. Parking is ok.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very slowly, jobs get cancelled and rebooked with no reason given, just excuses.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That Andover road was planned on being closed and all the main road traffic would be coming past my front door

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Lacking a shop and other local community meeting places. In drastic need of a play park for older children, specifically a football or open space for ball games. New main road / plan to put all major traffic through the centre of the development will kill the community feel and will be unsafe for children to play out and cause many others problems around safety.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

HomeGroup have been fair and consistent lanndlords

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The plan to put a major road through the heart of the development

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great location. Winchester has very good schools, shops are nearby, plenty to do, including fitness, countryside and the coast. Good access to the station and London too.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We haven’t dealt with building management as we are in a detached house

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Look out for accuracy of EPC ratings and missing insulation.
