Great flats, perfect for commuters

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Perfect location, walking distance to both Hertford and Ware town. Both have direct links to London so perfect for commuters. There is also a bus stop directly outside the apartments. Great variety of local bars and restaurants too. Apartments each have a parking space with 2 visitor bays for the block and there is also street parking available. Despite some apartments being located facing a main road, there is no sound of traffic.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Network Homes aren’t great with communication. Issues do not always get resolved.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great parking, Traffic noise is really bad, Bon store has nothing been cleaned. Windows have never been cleaned in 3 and a half years of living there.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very poor! Anytime a problem was report to they, you would have to chase them to get it fixed/sorted. Like getting blood from a stone!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How poor Network homes treat their tenants! Not friendly at all

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Fantastic location, situated between Hertford and Ware. A short walk to both towns with many local shops, restaurants and bars. Property is a short walk from the river too! There is a bus stop right outside the property and it's very close to both Ware and Hertford train station. Each property is given one allocated parking space and there are two visitor spaces. There is parking outside along the main road also. Although on a main road, there is hardly any noise from traffic. I have never found this to be an issue.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

NH send multiple letters but this is the only communication we receive. Sometimes letters are sent and then a contradictory one is sent a few days later making it difficult to know what information is correct. When phoning, it can take a while to get through to somebody. Some times the person dealing with your request can be very helpful and prompt with the issue raised. However, there have been some occasions where I have been left feeling frustrated with my problem not being dealt with. When something is flagged, sometimes it can take a while for problems to be sorted resulting in issues having to be chased.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The development is located on the fringes of Hertford, a 20 minute walk from the Town Centre but also only 10 minutes from the open spaces of the Golding's estate. Parking is adequate but there is no provision for guest parking. Traffic noise is minimal. Inevitably there is some anti-social behaviour but I wouldn't regard it as problematic.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Issues have generally been resolved quickly within a reasonable timescale.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Whilst each property has an allocated parking space there is no guest parking and this can be problematic.

Lovely flat, improvements in communication required.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The development is walking distance from Ware and Hertford so there are many close restaurants/shops. Neighbours are polite and the area is quiet. There is road noise but you get used to this and glazing is good.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Snags were hard to rectify at the beginning of our purchase. Phone calls meant long waits on hold.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The costs when moving and the costs of inflation. This was in our contract but more transparency is required for first time buyers as this is all new to them. This won’t put people off, they will just be more aware of rising costs and will feel less hoodwinked.
