Local co-op shop. Bus route. Lots of cars parking on the roads. Some anti social behaviour in the park

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Took a long time to get someone to have a look and when they did come they didn't fix the problem

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The quality of the new build isn't up to the standard you'd expect

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is perfect, lots of amenities, a quiet street but plenty to do, lots of places to walk with the dogs.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Problems were slightly delayed due to covid but all has been sorted

The building work was still on when e moved in, so was a little disrupted but nothing major.

Lovely area to live, brilliant for people with kids plenty of parks ect. Excellent amenities and schools.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Sorted a few but the bigger issues have been brushed under the carpet and still are getting ignored nearly 2 years on.

How poor and shocking Avant Homes really are! Do not buy from them.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

No shops within a mile radius until the co-op was built, so inconvenient for the first two years living there. No parks or amenities but glad it backs into farmland, forestry commission and open spaces for walking. Parking on the estate roads is a nightmare, thankfully my house faced Cavendish via access road so couldn’t be blocked in. There were often fights outside the house at weekends or people pinching/stealing things, petty theft etc. Traffic noise was annoying due to the unfinished road surface and the annoying pinging of the Avant flag poles got on my nerves.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Dealt with urgent ones and begrudgingly to others, other issues just left.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Who my neighbours were going to be! How many times you need to chase and that it’s easier to go directly to the manufacturer.. how rubbish the turf is (yellow patchy, dead in places, laid over rubble, uneven etc.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There is a big green open space area in the centre of the development. No anti social behaviour, everybody is very nice and respectful of each other. Very quiet area, and now a new co op has opened its got everything.

Garden is quite over looked by other houses.

What is the best feature of your home:

Great kitchen, garden, bathroom. People always comment how nice my home is.
