Lymington Shores build quality

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Location of the development is great. That said it would be significantly improved if the developer, Redrow, kept its promise and completes the bridge over the railway to connect the development to the village.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Redrow head office hasnt responded to the many emails sent. Only the onsight manager has responded to our water ingress problems but after 3 years we still have leaks and damp into our homes.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish I had know the build quality was so low. I wouldnt have bought the property. Would also like to have known Redrow was lying about building a bridge over the railway to connect the development to the village

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Lymington is a lovely town, good communications via rail and road and good facilities. The area has everything; the sea, beaches, New Forest and woodland walks. A Saturday market, nice people, independent shops, good supermarkets. Nice people with old fashioned values.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Ensure you investigate warranties with details of the specific companies and the correct information needed to use the warranties.

What is the best feature of your home:

Well insulated, you don’t need the heating on very often at all.

Lymington Shores by Redrow Homes - So much promise yet so disappointing.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Lymington is a lovely Georgian Market town with a great tradition. It has a fantastic harbour and many enchanting shops and alleys that can occupy you for hours. Its railway station links to nearby Brockenhurst in the New Forest, where you can access links to London and beyond. There is a thriving Saturday market on the High Street which is very well supported. The area is highly agricultural and depends heavily on tourist trade, especially in the summer months, when it can get very busy.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the development remains unfinished after nearly 4 years with no end in sight.

Please share one thing (or more) which you would change about your development:

Larger, quieter and more secure with more facilities on site.
