Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Location is fantastic, there are lots of green spaces which was really important to us. There are also good local facilities such as shops and restaurants and a bus route only a short walk away. Parking can be tricky with a lot of people parking on the road. This can be dangerous and cause blind spots on bends.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We had a flood in our kitchen just after moving in but bloor sent someone to fix it the same day which we appreciated

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish we’d known more about the rest of the plans for the development.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Manner farm is located is a perfect location for the quiet life and also perfect for the locality for shops, pubs and has a near perfect bus route. The area of mickleover is a sort after area and is also well known for its walks down the track of an old railway that used to pass through. The street I live in is perfect and secluded from most of the other houses amd also I have easy access to my very own drive. One of the biggest gripes I have of the area Is the amount of dogs and the lack of courtesy from the Owners of they pets, the dogs are let of the lead to roam where they please and the owners vary rarely bat an eye lid of there dog fouling on someone’s property.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Bloor homes initially were ok at sorting issues and snags on our property but make sure you don’t do anything else other than take care of your grass as if it dies and turns in to a pile of mucky mess Bloor homes will just reply well you obviously have not been taking care of your lawn and therefore it’s not our problem.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I’d of know the poor workmanship of the contractors that Bloor homes have fitting the carpets and also doing the tiling, please everyone get your own tradesmen and oversee the work yourself.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Development is located in excellent area near to local amenities and village with a good bus service. Overall a lovely place to live

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very poor in warranty period and non existent since warranty ran out and LABC not interested unless you have reported every fault to them at the same time as the builder

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Don’t buy a Bloor home and check the warranty from cover to cover

Lovely place to live

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Mickleover is a wonderful place to live. It is up and coming. There are a range of pubs, a couple of restaurants and bars creating a sophisticated ‘night life’. The estate is on the outskirts of Mickleover, a short walk away from the shops and restaurants. There is a lovely old railway track nearby which is fantastic for dogs, although avoid the grumpy cyclists! The only issue we’ve had is some ASB where my car was keyed whilst on the drive! We have a video doorbell but unfortunately it didn’t pick up the culprit.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

There appears to be issues with drainage and a number of driveways have had to be dug up 4 years later!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Don’t get shiny floor tiles or shiny kitchen cupboards!!!! They are a nightmare to keep clean!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The shops are just a small walk away and I believe there will be a bus route coming on to our estate which is good. We live on a drive and there is very minimal noise and great for parking. The only issue we have is people letting there dogs off at the top of the track and having no respect for people living on the estate. Dogs run over your garden and I feel it’s dangerous for children to play out.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I would of know how poor the carpet fitter and tillers were and I would of got my own workers to do the job.

Please share one thing (or more) which you would change about your development:

Absolutely nothing as I love my house. Definitely our dream home.
