Good range of local amenities, plenty of open country’s however a lot of anti social behaviour in the area

Yes but said a lot of issues weren’t their problem

More information on NHBC and the fact that they didn’t make the best use of space

Inexpensive houses but not a great area to live

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The range of shops and takeaway restaurants is good. Their are good bus and train services from the village. The problem is antisocial behavior, there are a number of teenagers that terrorize the village and the police seem unable to stop them.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

As above, the site managers keep changing. We had a really good assistant site manager when i moved in who got things done but it has gone downhill since.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known about another development of 400 properties that is now taking place which will back onto our estate

Plenty of amenities close by. Good range of takeaways, as well as a co-op, spar and one stop shop close by. Primary school in the village as well as secondary school 5 minute drive away. Train station is useful. 77 bus runs to worksop or chesterfield and are very frequent.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Often do not respond to anything we raise. Multiple times we have had to raise formal complaints as a way of getting logged defects sorted.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

To check heating system if moving in summer! We moved in during a very warm April and didn’t check the heating until a few weeks after we moved in. The heating system does not work properly and still is not sorted!

Pre existing amenities are ok, however none on the development even though there were discussions. There is anti social behaviour in the area with the kids and they break onto site a lot and destroy half built houses.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Sometimes quickly some times takes forever with no response, turn up when they like, no pre call or appointment made

They have a new site manager all the time so hard to keep track

Perfect for getting on the property ladder

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It's a quiet area with beautiful Derbyshire countryside surrounding it. It has Creswell Crags and Welbeck Estate where there's a farm shop and garden centre. It's about 15 mins to Junction 29 and 10 mins to Junction 30. Closest shops are Clowne (10 mins). Not many pubs, the nicest one is The Elm Tree, but very pricey. The train station let's the area down as it hasn't got any great connections to the North. I work in Leeds and there are no trains direct to Sheffield or Leeds. The closest would be Worksop which is a 15/20 min drive and you have to pay for parking. The train is still a good 1.5 hours, yet I can drive to Sheffield in 25 mins or Leeds in 1 hour. The trains also have stopped running on Sundays. Only decent connection is to Nottingham. There's a doctor's, post office and a couple of corner shops. There is quite a bit of antisocial behaviour through model village and can sometimes be a concern. In summer, we get a lot of arson, vandalism and kids messing around nearby.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Sometimes you can't get in touch with anyone. We've had about 4 site managers! Can't keep up with who to contact and what number. Some plumbers come out with some BS about things to cover tracks. Wish they would be honest and just do their job properly.
