Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Transport links are really good, even though our house is next to the dual carriageway you can never hear it. Lots of lovely walks nearby and close to the country park/shops.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We haven’t raised any issues so hard to say really

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Could be individual but we are very happy with the build. You hear bad things about new builds but don’t let it put you off. We love our house.

Overall i think that everything is ok except clarrions involvement is shockingly poor.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area and the estate are beautiful and very neighbour friendly. The houses on the outside are beautiful. The gardens are small. The interior decorating has been rushed and not finished to the high standard you would expect. Eg. Cracks in walls, ceilings and plaster. The housing association clarrion is hard to communicate with and take months to deal with issues if at all. The house prices are extremely high considering the overall quality of the build and the management of the estate.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The poor communication of clarrion and their complete inability to communicate with the tennants.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature of the home is the location. Being right off the dual carriageway is handy.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Southwater is a lovely place to live. Good amenities nearby (pubs, shops, takeaways, barbers, etc). Horsham on the doorstep, close to the coast and access to M23.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the gardens are just clay. Shared parking.

What is the best feature of your home:

Seems fairly well built. For a new build, there is an okay amount of storage cupboards.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I love this are and the development is in one of the best available locations. It's on the outskirts of the village so I'm on the main road within a minute of leaving the house. I'm also within walking distance of the shops, easy access to the downslink. The village has a fair quality and range of amenities. The wider area is better, Horsham for instance has a great selection of restaurants and shops and we get Deliveroo here. On the development itself, the streets are a little narrow and its weird that you don't own all of what you think is your garden. Or your front lawn. Apart from that, the people are nice, there's a great community here and the facebook group is active as well as the village group. If you need anything like a random cable like we did as ridiculous o'clock on a sunday, I had one in my hand within the hour. There could be more ad-hoc laybys and parking and the noise barrier was built too low.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the garden would be terrible. No topsoil, the fence posts just sunk into the clay, drainage terrible, not flat and turf just chucked on top of clay. And a terrible pointless kerb cutting straight through my front lawn.

What is the best feature of your home:

Such a hard question to answer. I'm thrilled with the finish, the quality and location but for us it has to be our location on the development. We bought with our best friend and she got the house next door. we pretty much have a cul-de-sac to ourselves, and we're not in the posh end.

Lovely place to live with a young family.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Public transport is good as there is a bus stop close by. It would be nice to have a few more parking spaces outside the front door as I am on crutches. There are a lot of pubs in southwater and restaurants in Horsham which is easy to get to. Lovely local park and 5 minutes drive away are two different nature reserves. Not much traffic noise and we don’t hear the construction noise from the rest of the houses being built. Very friendly neighbours lots of young families who have very nice kids who all play nicely together.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Go and see the property measure a sofa and use that to see what furniture you will be able to fit in and how much space it leaves you.

Please share one thing (or more) which you would change about your development:

A bigger garden as it would have been nice to put in a trampoline and also have room to have some other space at the same time for an adult sitting area.
