Love living here

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

New makers yard is a short walk away from the city centre and is close to loads of amazing bars and shops. There’s also a great coffee shop, mini supermarket and pub on the development which are all great. In terms of transport you can walk easily into town and catch a tram or bus. There isn’t much parking availability unless you rent but usually the development is quiet and windows suppress a lot of background noise.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any request I’ve put in has been dealt with speed and friendly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Get living do a lot of events and community groups around the development that aren’t obvious from a viewing. Also some flats are air bnbs so be aware and ask about your possible neighbours if you can.

Manager response

Hi Alice, Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! We're delighted to hear that you appreciate the lovely design of the building and the sense of community it offers, all while being just a short walk into the city center. It’s great to know that our management team has been friendly and helpful, and that you find the Get Living app convenient for managing your needs. We’re glad you enjoy the nearby amenities, including the coffee shop, supermarket, and pub, as well as the working space and community events, your insight that these weren’t obvious from a viewing is really helpful and I will certainly look into this. Thank you again for your high recommendation! If you ever have any questions or need assistance, please feel free to reach out.

Great flats to live in, walkable to city centre and has secure parking!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great location near the city centre - co working space, a shop and bar/restaurant all within the complex. Parking options could maybe be better but free short term parking is available. Close to train stations and trams but I mostly walk to places as it’s most convenient

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes always quick to respond - there was one issue around payments but they resolved their end very quickly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Maybe that there wasn’t a concierge in the building for post - but this has since been resolved and the post situation is much better but still is in a separate building

Manager response

Thank you so much for your detailed review! We’re thrilled to hear that you’re enjoying your modern 2-bedroom flat and that the cleanliness of the building, as well as the friendly cleaner, have made a positive impact. It’s great to know that the secure parking and the building’s quick-response management have contributed to your overall satisfaction. We're glad to hear you think the post situation has improved, though we understand having it in a separate building can still be an inconvenience at times, unfortunately, we weren’t able to have a parcel room in each of our 6 buildings. We truly value your feedback, and we're happy to hear that any issues you’ve raised have been promptly addressed. Thank you for your kind words and for recommending us. We're committed to continuing to provide a great living experience!

We have raised 3 issues, all of which were investigated quickly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There is no immediate transport link, and it can be quite loud sometimes from the other buildings.

Manager response

Hi Emily Thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback with us. We're glad to hear that you've found our location and insulation to be positive aspects, and that our team has been responsive in addressing any issues you’ve raised. Whilst we do not have a gym here, however, we do offer free fitness classes for Residents at M3 Perform, and we now have monthly yoga classes available, there is also a JD Gym at the retail park just a across the road. I am sorry to hear about the wait for parking, please can you email me on newmakeryards@getliving.com and I will look into this for you and your other concerns raised in your review, such as Pet free options as we do have pet free buildings. Thank you again for your recommendation, and for being part of our community. We're always here if you need anything!

Perfect and close to the city

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There a coffee shop, bar and co-op on site which is a great convenience as well as parking. Location to public transport is ok, with a 10-15 min walk to a train/tram stop. Sometimes there’s quite a bit of noice late night/early morning at the weekends but as expected

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes they’ve responded within a day or even on the day itself

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I’d had known the location in terms of distance to trains and tram stops as well as the noise of developments close by
