Kitchen dining area a great family area where we can open the patio doors in the summer months

We love Barrow, we were both local to the area previously and knew it would be a lovely place to bring our family into.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The doors and skirting boards are all bespoke to the build.

What is the best feature of your home:

The open plan kitchen and dining room. We love it all.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Whalley has an array of local Shops and is only 20 min walk or a 5 min drive away. There is a convenience store at the Barrow Brook services but we tend to use the Whalley convenience shops instead as they’re nicer and better stocked.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have but as time passes this becomes slower. More the mismanagement of the contractors than the customer service team ignoring you.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

You’ll love living here. It’s a picturesque village vibe and we’ve started to build a community here too. You’re not buying a house you’re buying a home in a community.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We love the location of our new home in walking distance from a village with all amenities, pubs, cafes, shops etc. Transport links are good too, with Manchester in easy reach from Whalley. Our son attends a nursery within walking distance which is also convenient.

Difficult to resolve issues with the finish once moved in.

Bad layout inside where two doors constantly bang onto each other.

Really good area

when viewing you don’t realise how lovely and homely it will be when you make it your own.

What is the best feature of your home:

We fell as though the best facilities in the house are the height of the ceilings and high skirting boards
