Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There’s a lot of anti social behaviour around here due to the nearby council houses nearby how ever I’ve never had an issue

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I’ve had a a major issue with some drainage issues and they have dealt with this really poorly I am a nurse who wasn’t able to use my bath or shower for quite some time they wasn’t in any rush to fix the problem and I had to report this several times I have now got damaged flooring which is no fault of my own in which they still haven’t sorted this out for me when they said they would

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I would have known the limited amount of storage the house had

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Their a range of shops only 5 minutes away, The street is quite how ever now the road has been paved which took 5 years for them to do and my road is a long stretch there have been a few people going very fast on mopeds down and up the road

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I had that many legitimate problems they started ignoring me. Man hole covers on the front garden a foot higher than the ground and not fastened down, walls move when pushed, lower ground concrete floors on a slant and with dips and humps which where measured and in some places 50mm dips, missing bricks in walls, gaps between stairs and wall I can fit my hand down, window vents not in properly, kitchen worktops had to be redone twice, light pelmets fell down, light pelmets screwed through kitchen cupboard doors, front door chain just smashed into place with a hammer, a cap under the front door that slugs come through and daylight can be seen. a lot of my furniture and carpets where damaged when the attempted to repair the mistakes. I have a solid wood dining set which has now warped due to the uneven floors and when this was brought to the attention of the site manager he said " he wouldn't care if it was his house, what do you expect its only a £140,000 house"

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wouldn't have chosen help to buy as it seems some what of a con. Very hard to add the remaining amount to your mortgage, you can only pay in one or two lump sums or pay monthly interest only and when you sell the house they will take a percentage of the current value so they will take thousands more than is acceptable. I would not choose Gleeson homes as the build quality is dreadful and they don't care. They tried to tell me that you can't get concrete flat when I pointed out it's called "self levelling compound" they told me it doesn't work.

RELATIVELY DECENT BUT NOT GREAT

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

A very nice area to live in, very convenient as transport such as buses is just the next street down, with local shops such as takeaways, salons, pharmacy shops and supermarkets. In addition, a very quiet road, not much traffic.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I previously has some issues with the windows and I tried contacting the department but no one came to fix it.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The attitude to the problems of new tenants and how fast they solved the issues were very good, however after moving in, the issues would be resolved in a longer amount of time there longer you lived there for.
