Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Overall I’m quite disappointed with our development. On purchasing 3 years ago we were promised a quiet and attractive development with a small 82 homes only. Since then, further land has been developed, a public footpath opened & now plans for a new through road has been approved. The main entrance road is far too small and constantly causes near crashes daily. The roads are very tight making driving through difficult. Going from a secure development to now having constant police call outs due to anti social behaviour has made up want to pack up & sell.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Poor, they are simply not interested in completing faults. Snags are a major inconvenience to them and it’s difficult even getting a response from someone. Our windows fell out in the middle of winter & they weren’t bothered!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Plans to open our estate to the public and make it a through route!

Good public transport links and variety of shops. Lacks bars/restaurants. No evidence of anti-social behaviour as of yet.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes. At times with slight delay but got a response eventually.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I was completely satisfied with everything when I moved in. Any slight issues, I wrote down to ask customer services.

Love the local area as im from here but good transport links and amenities. Plenty of larger towns within 15 minutes .

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes , some slight delays but it was contractors fault not Avant

A good range of local shops that are very easy to get too both on foot and close by in a car. Also good access to the bus routes into Worksop and chesterfield.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

In the beginning the response was immaculate and since moving in and settling response times have slowed right down almost none existent.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Great transport links to the M1 for commuters to go to work and come back to a nice countryside location.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great location for the M1 and in the middle of cities/towns, country feel without being too far out of the way, close to schools and the railway - will be good when we have children to be able to jump on the train without having to drive to the train station! Bin collections have been late sometimes but they have collected them when asked. No traffic noise, occasional railway noise from a big train but it’s a very quiet railway. Not many bars/restaurants in walking distance but we don’t mind that, we knew all of this when buying the property.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have fixed any small problems such as the draw being too close to the radiator but they didn’t seem to happy about having to do it in the first place haha!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Be careful of the gardens! We almost bought one with a 5 foot wall and 6 foot fence on top - luckily we noticed before buying and reserved a plot with just a 5 foot fence. If you like a lot of privacy the ones with walls will be fab for you!
