Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We are within walking distance of the town centre with a reasonable range of shops, cafes and restaurants. Transport links are good - easy access to A30 and the re-opened rail link to Exeter & beyond. Our street is quiet, bin collections are reliable, barely any traffic noise.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We have been really disappointed with the parking of contractor vehicles outside our house. Despite a huge sign at the site entrance and numerous signs attached to the site fences stating " No Contractor Parking", we constantly struggle to get on and off our driveway. We hoped that with phase 2 well under way, this situation might improve but sadly not. Also no sign yet of any landscape maintenance near us. The existing hedge between us and our neighbour badly needs attention. After 16 months, we still have a view of a security fence.

What is the best feature of your home:

We love the light airy kitchen and the solar panels are a real benefit given the hike in energy costs. The great insulation standard is also a big plus.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area we live in is excellent , the facilities are more than adequate for our needs. The public transport facilities are good for the area however the public transport for our development is non existent. The road network for accessibility is very good. The road in which we live in is very quiet and we do not suffer with any anti-social behaviour. There is not enough on street parking and the non existing pavements make it dangerous at times.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We would have liked to have been told that there was going to be a public access opposite our front door that was not mentioned when viewing and did not exist at that time.

What is the best feature of your home:

Just the fact that we were able to purchase a bungalow on a new development, something that is not normally available.

Living in Okehampton, the gateway to Dartmoor, gives you all you need for every day life, from shopping in Waitrose to the many independent retailers. The White Hart Hotel is excellent and there are many cafes to choose from. The re-opened rail line provides links to most destinations in the country via Exeter. It is very quiet where I live with no through traffic allowed.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

When purchasing a new build it is advisable to get an independent survey of the whole property and not just a mortgage company drive by.

What is the best feature of your home:

The large kitchen, dining room is a great place to be, for all the family

Our estate is in a great location, walking distance to town centre with many amenities like supermarkets, cinema, cafes and pubs. Everyone on the estate is very friendly and welcoming. There is the issue with the primary school, it doesn't have a car park for parents to park whilst they drop off their children in the morning and evening, which causes issues with traffic and parking is an issue.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We were not able to see how the garden would look until we moved in. It turned out to have 3 levels and was very steep which resulted in us doing lots of landscaping.

What is the best feature of your home:

Lovely large kitchen diner with large windows to garden

Houses are a great size and few spacious compared to some other housing companies. Good infrastructure . Good selection of shops and great position in devon
