A Lovely Development with lots coming up in the area.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is great, you ae connected by the airport, two train stations and the M1 Motorway. The area is undergoing development, whereby new shops/restaurants are due to open soon. The retail park across the road is handy too.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, any issues flagged to the management company are dealt with promptly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Would have been nice to view one of the higher floor apartments to get an idea of the view.

Ok, but issues that need addressing

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good - location to station, we’ll sound proofed Bad - management of development

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Snagging is dealt with quickly, however more inherent issues with the overall cheap design and build still need addressing. Some are minor, but some such as the main gate and fire alarm system are major health and safety issues that residents/owners should not be having to deal with.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How the development was managed which is little accountability on individuals and responsibility having to be taken by those who own properties.

Nice area but lacks security and management

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I bought this as my first property, location is amazing however constant battles with managing company. Gates are constantly broken, thefts of bikes in a bike shed, things basically not built for purpose.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Only few but with very long delays. Replacements take way too long

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Lack of security

Upon closer inspection, it’s easy to see where things have been thrown together

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great proximity to local shops, train stations, the airport and the M1. The only negatives in relation to location (depending on personal noise tolerance) are the noise disruptions from the construction opposite - generally starting from 7.30am Mon-Sun in the early stages, as it’s nearing completion, they no longer work Sundays - and the planes flying above. The development itself has a few juveniles who deface communal areas (such as the entrance to Ellesmere Court) and continuously smoke in the basement which causes the fire alarm to go off, in turn shutting down the heating and water supply in the entire development; pretty annoying. Bins are collected weekly which is great however, sometimes the contractors responsible for taking the bins out for collection don’t return them in a timely manner; this ends in rubbish being left on the floor in the communal bin rooms.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management have been incredibly slow responding to all queries raised. I’m a very self sufficient person so do as much as I can as possible. I see contacting them as an absolute last resort!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew how disruptive the construction opposite was going to be, as well as how awful property management are.
