Not the prettiest estate you'll visit!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

No shops or amenities onsite l. Cars parked everywhere! Some open green spaces. Roads are still horrendous after 2.5 years of living here!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Customer care has been excellent. The site managers are friendly but not all that helpful, and complaints take a long time and lots of perseverance to get sorted.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It's a long walk to town! It's very windy!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The road that I live in is very friendly, we are a small group of families who help each other out, especially during the pandemic.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building company hasn’t taken over yet, as the roads and pavements are not complete.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would say to anyone buying a new property, get everything the sales person says in writing because they are dishonest to get a sale. Don’t believe things like you have to purchase their carpet otherwise the carpet can only be fitted after you move in, there is a disclaimer form you can sign as I find out, when I wouldn’t purchase their carpet. Do not accept their excuses for things not completed correctly, check it out with other people with the same house type on your estate.

My impressions of Edmund Park

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There is a large supermarket under ten minutes walk away, the town is approximately thirty minutes walk and there is a lovely off road route. As yet the developments central open space is not finished or open to residents, it should be an asset when done.Could do with more parking bays as there is too much blocking of roads due to bad road parking. Bin and recycling collection is very good.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Pretty good during the guarantee period. Generally things were put right without having to chase up

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How long it was going to take to have decent roads, footpaths and grounds

Disappointing

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I think it would be a lot better to have some kind of retail complex or at least a put on the estate, we are about a half an hour walk from the town centre so it would be nice to have something close by

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The roads will be awful to drive on for a long long long time

Please share one thing (or more) which you would change about your development:

It had been taken more care of when it was built it felt like the houses had just been churned out fast with no care

Lovely place to live

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The development is very near to a large supermarket so is very handy for groceries. It takes around 20 minutes to walk to the town centre where there is a selection on cafes and bars. There is access to some large open spaces on the development and a very picturesque river runs around the perimeter. There is a train station about a 15 minute walk away and a bus stop just before you enter the development. On the whole the development is a lovely place to live, the roads are still not finished with does cause a bit of damage to the cars but hopefully they will be completed soon. Neighbours are lovely, never had an issue with anything.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would have paid a professional snagger to have a look around my home

Please share one thing (or more) which you would change about your development:

It would have been nice to have had the garden and outside spaces left a little neater/ finished than just moving in to a garden on mud and rocks
