Great place to live

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is great - it’s not as busy as the city centre, but there’s plenty of shops/restaurants nearby. There’s a great bar just next door, plus a number of restaurants and bars 15 min walk away in media city. The link to the city centre is good as well, as there are two lines to choose from. As for shops, there are plenty of supermarkets a short walk/drive (Tesco, M&S, Aldi, Lidl).

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

There were hardly any issues I had, but we have a dedicated person at greinger who we can email with any issues. Additionally, the sales agent on site was really helpful.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I’d like for it to be clearer, that we are not allowed to use any of the communal areas in the clippers quay development - when I was asking about the concierge I was under the impression we could use them too, which is not the case.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good transport links with nearby trams. Good range of nearby supermarkets but bars and restaurants are more limited. Bin collections are regular. There have been a number of break ins of cars parked on the street. The bike shed within the building has also been broken into multiple times.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They do not respond to any of my snagging issues. Things are beginning to improve as we now at least have a named contact in the management company.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The building's official name is Ariel Apartments not the Boathouse which makes deliveries difficult

A great place to live

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Bars, Barbers, Pizza and a Co-op all within a three minute walk. Aldi is only a ten minute walk away.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Constructively. The management team have been quick to respond to my queries and have been very accommodating.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Parcels often get delivered to the main reception.

Friendly Boathouse

Paul (Tenant)

Feb 2023

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We have private parking at the development but other parking options are available at nearby hotel and car park. We are close to Old Trafford which increases traffic a lot on game day but never had a problem regarding noise or behaviour. Post game the streets clear very quickly. Very close to Salford Quays with a range of shops, bars and restaurants.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management were initially slow to respond although individuals on site were always really helpful. Since the residents coordinated responses the agent has been much better. Mist of the development has now been sold which has perhaps changed the agents focus towards current owners. A poor start but functions well now with good engagement and relationships between agent and residents.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There is a proposed new 30 floor development nearer the quays which the block has opposed. It’s difficult to see how the current infrastructure would cope with such a large influx of new tenants/owners.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Overall, convenience of location and distance from the noise of city centre makes the Quays an ideal place to live.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have resolved them within a reasonable timeframe but could be a bit quicker to act sometimes.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The view is even better than initially thought and again it is quiet
