Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We are right next door to Ancoats which I absolutely love. There are plenty of cafes around, food wise NQ cab sort you out for lunch easily. Not to mention the lovely walks around the canal. I always missed this while living in Salford.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Quickly resolved in 2hours or 1day max from notice.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Dogs. There will be lots of dogs around the building and you’ll stop to pet each and one of them. Add +5 minutes on your ETA when you leave the house. Love it :)

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

My flatmate and I have lived in the building for 4 months now and we could not fault the community and facilities in which The Castings have warmly welcomed us into! We feel blessed to be situated in such an amazing location with excellent facilities!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

With urgency and care! Very friendly individuals too!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It would have been useful to view more flats as some have different designs and colours however we are very happy with what we have been provided with!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There is an excellent range of local independent restaurants, bars and businesses in the area. There is a vibrant, thriving community and the development is situated in the heart of it. We are in walking distance to Piccadilly train station which adds to the convenience of the location. The Castings is also in a walking distance to Ancoats and four of the Colony offices in Manchester which hosts thousands of working professionals.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The management team have been wonderful and supportive at every stage of our renting journey. They're incredibly responsive, efficient and effective. Any matters that we've brought to them have them been resolved promptly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The beds are king size (which is wonderful) and the height of the apartment isn't advertised with the apartment.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are lots of grocery stores, restaurants, clothes stores, and hotels near by, putting this building in a very prime location. For University of Manchester students there is a free bus that comes by and the pick up and drop off location is just three minute walk from the building. Piccadilly station is only a 7 min walk and the New Islington tram station is only a 4 min walk away.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We once had an issue with one of the bathroom tiles in our apartment and after altering the reception, they sent an inspector within the next few hours and a few hours after that, they sent a team to come and repair the tile.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

While the building does go out of their way to put on events for us, the capacity is usually VERY limited (for yoga there's usually 8 spaces available) so you have to act fast if you want a space.

Living in my local area has several positive aspects. There's a great range of local shops, restaurants, and bars, which offer a diverse selection of cuisines and products, making dining and shopping enjoyable. The open spaces are well-maintained and provide excellent opportunities for outdoor activities, picnics, and relaxation, contributing to a pleasant community atmosphere. Additionally, the sense of community is strong, with friendly neighbors and local events that foster connections. Transport links, while sometimes busy, are generally accessible, allowing for easy travel to nearby areas. Overall, the area offers a vibrant lifestyle with plenty of amenities and a welcoming environment.

Building management has been prompt and effective in addressing issues.

How great my neighbours would really be there is a great sense of community and events that are hosted by Stephen which gets everyone in the building together.
