Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The apartment is in a perfect location. You could walk to the retail park, city centre and China town. There plenty good restaurants nearby from KFC to high street Italian, Indian restaurant. It is closed to deansgate Rail Station and there is free bus will take you to Piccadilly. Tram is also within walking distance. If you are players at night, there are many clubs and bars. You will never bored.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Whenever I experienced any issue on the household or mechanical, they always there in fixing the issues at my apartment.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I do know this property earlier. I might came to stay a few months when its started operationm

Property management isn’t great but overall, not bad

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The place is close to a local sainsbury’s but the train station isn’t connected to any major station directly so having to get a connection can be a little annoying. I go to university and the 35 minute walk can be tiring but it could be much worse.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
To my knowledge when the elevator broke down yesterday it was immediately acknowledged by the building and they have supposedly called out their engineers, although I’m not sure if the elevator has been fixed yet.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had known about the overall cleanliness of the apartment as even thing such as the washing machine manual the manual for the dishwasher and more are very dirty so much so that they’re covered in these weird brown and black spots and some places are just littered with some type of trash, which was a little bit, weird and not enjoyable to get rid of in the first moments of moving in.

Hi Patrick, Thank you so much for your review and your kind words. Apologies for the issues you have faced on check in and I do hope that everything has now been sorted. I have passed your comments to our Facilities Manager so he can review some of the check in procedures with his team and understand a bit better what have happened on this occasion as this is not the level of service we aim to provide. Hopefully you are now fully settled and enjoying your stay in the Slate Yard :) Thank you!

A community fractured by the management's apathy and self-interest

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
There's a Sainsbury's, which is a stone's throw away, and a Tesco a few minutes' walk away. Easy to walk to Manchester city center. These things that are nothing to do with the building itself or management are as good as it gets. In fairness, it is a relatively new development, so it's also modern.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Either dismissively or completely ignored. The management team really leaves you wanting.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Wish I had known what the relations between tenants and management were really like. It's sad having to live somewhere and hope that nothing adverse happens because the management team might not be at all responsive or supportive.

The Slate Yard has a great location with a mix of being in the city centre but yet away from the hustle and bustle by being perched on the Irwell River bank.

Any issues we have had have been addressed some required chasing but overall all have been handled satisfactory.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Noise from neighbouring construction and the potential and now reality of it now occurring on the weekends.

Hi, Thank you for your review and your kind words regarding our housekeeping team, we will be passing the comments alone! We will also be passing your comments regarding the construction noise as we are actively chasing Morgan Sindall to keep the works within the timings they have communicated to us originally. If any works are carried outside the stated hours, please do reach to myself directly so I can liaise with them at hugo.serodio@theslateyard.com. Thank you,
