The apartment layout is in decent size with a large bathroom. Furnished with quality furniture and the matteress are very good. There is lobby, gym and working areas in two buildings serve with free coffee, tea, chocolate drink. The entire property is clean and tidy with good maintenance. Once you live in, you really don't want to move out Slateyard, probably is the best apartment in UK

When it comes to the facilities, such as the lounge areas, the jam, the parcel room, the bin room, the dog area, the free hot drinks, as well as the communal events—the place is good. The downfall really begins when it comes to the things in the apartment itself as when I first moved in the floor was weirdly dirty, and the washing machine is somewhat filled with lent, and then when attempting to clean the filter, turns out this washing machine and filter has been cleaned a very long time and there was a buildup and a bunch of water got everywhere and now one of the elevators isn’t working and I’ve lived here for less than two weeks so not very good signs when it comes to property management.

I can’t say anything bad. I lived here for 19 months, not a single bad experience, I will sincerely miss living here profoundly. The people are one aspect of what makes this place what it is. They are welcoming both in the morning and the night shift.

I think the response to the review titled "Instagram versus reality" is indicative of the rude, dismissive and unprofessional service that might be in store for you as a resident here. It takes a special kind of arrogance to respond to valid tenant complaints about their experiences by claiming to have no knowledge of anything, when in fact tenants have made in-person complaints to the management team. This is something documented in our private WhatsApp group - which it is interesting that the management team seems to know about... The refusal to admit that the management team has failed some (arguably many) tenants is insulting. In my experience, the default approaches on the part of the management are: denial, dismissiveness and defensiveness. The claim to not know what a tenant was talking about when saying that socials had dried is bold. What happened in July or August? The list won't be long. You guys were obviously enjoying your summer, probably some holibobs. Not all tenants were - we're paying enough in rent. So, it would have been nice to have something happen over summer. It's very interesting that the response about the coffee machine is the suggestion that the tenant go speak to concierge. How about making sure that coffee machine servicing is added to the night list of duties? If it is already then how about considering the regularity of the checks and making sure that staff have the right training? The disparity of feedback on this site is itself evidence that tenants are experiencing differential treatment. Personally, I do not feel comfortable making an open review for fear of what this might mean for my outstanding issues raised with management. In my opinion, there now seems to be a charm offensive mission on the part of the management team. New tenant move-ins that I have observed are coinciding with posters around the development encouraging reviews on this site. The priorities of the management team are strange. Why not just admit that there have been failings and actually address the problems. Why not acknowledge that the Slate Yard "community" is fractured and try to engage in restoration? As a tenant, reading responses to reviews here is extremely discouraging. Responses are questionable and seem to be attempting to de-legitimise some tenants' experiences. I have outstanding queries while I see responses to posts on here within a matter of days. Based on the evidence, the irony would be that I would get a faster response on here than emailing management directly.

The apartments have a good layout and modern design. Facilities offered are in line with most rental flats. Management team could improve on communication on a whole and have seen improvements recently with notices regarding construction schedule and upcoming events. Our vote for the shining stars within the team overall would have to go to Chelsea, Trish and Sharron who continue to be most friendly and approachable members of the team whether it be with a warm greeting on our way out to work or upon return to the building these small things make a big difference in making it feel like home. Not to mention the fantastic job they do keeping the buildings clean and well taken care of.
