Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living at the Wullcomb brings huge advantages. It is very safe to park your car. U fit is next door where you can enjoy a zen environment. John Lewis,Highcross and Leicester market are very close so you never run out of food or things to do.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I have lived in other places where the agency or the contractors would come in unannounced which has caused me great distress. The Wullcomb team doesn't not allow this to happen.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

No issues. It's very quiet and safe to live at the Wullcomb.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in the city centre is incredibly convenient, Highcross right at your doorstep. Cinema, restaurants and cafes all within less than a 5 minute walk. Supermarkets are within walking distance too. There are many transport links nearby. I’ve used the trains a few times when I didn’t feel like driving—it’s only a 20-minute walk to the station, but it feels shorter because you’re walking through town. St Margaret’s bus station is even closer, just 8-10 minutes walk away. St Martin’s Square is a highlight, with amazing restaurants, bars, and cafés. A few favourites are Gelato Village for a cheeky gelato post dinner or those hot summer days, Kai for weekend brunches, Frame if you’re feeling fancy (they’re great with food allergies!), Bottle Garden for drinks, and St Martin’s Coffee shop for cozy coffee hangs. The building itself is on a busy road, but I’ve yet to hear any traffic noise apart from the occasional ambulance. Open green spaces are limited in the city centre, but they’ve created a lovely rooftop space, which is perfect in the summer. Plus, The Rally and Abbey Park are a short walk away, and New Walk leads straight to Victoria Park. Walking through New Walk is so pretty that I don’t mind the distance at all!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Lucky to not have had many issues since I moved in. The building management has been excellent in addressing any issues I’ve raised though. Maintenance requests are handled quickly, often the same day or within 48 hours. They’re always responsive, professional, and make sure everything is resolved.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There really isn’t much I wish I had known before moving in, as I had a good idea of what to expect. Parking can be a bit limited, but I was lucky enough to get a spot just before I moved in. One suggestion I’d make is having a residents’ notice board or forum to help residents stay connected and organise events. It would be a dream to have a Co-op in the building for those days when you run out of essentials like milk or bread (I’ve had to grab a cup of milk from the café downstairs in a pinch, which works, but not ideal). Not a necessity, but definitely would be a nice-to-have feature.
