Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It's a gorgeous area, best mix of countryside and town living. The town is a pathed 5 minute easy walk to the high street. You will find all your daily essentials as well as some great gift shops. There is loads of great walks to explore the great North lakes area. The development is situated at the edge of town and we get very little traffic noise. As its a small town there is little crime and its very quiet. Cumbrias bin collection is the best we have encountered and very prompt so you must have them out before 7 30am.

No aerial fitted. But if you do have any issues with the build the site manager and aftercare team couldn't be more helpful.

What is the best feature of your home:

Our huge kitchen diner with bi fold doors. Our walled garden which is not overlooked by anyone.

Brampton is great, conveniently placed for Carlisle, Newcastle, and the M6. Winchester Place is a comfortable walking distance from town and very close to bus stops. The only noise we hear is from Story Homes, who continue to build on the site (we were relatively early onto the development).

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

If it's an option, go for part exchange. We were fortunate enough to be offered more for our previous home than expected, but even if the offer is slightly less, having a guaranteed buyer and fewer legal shenanigans is priceless. Even though it may seem more expensive, get your upgrades (e.g. flooring/additional wall tiling) from your builder. Everything is then done before you move in and then any snags are covered under the builder's responsibility. Speaking of snags, expect (all builds have them) and don't let them take the shine off your new home. Report them in good time and chase them up as necessary until they are done. If you can afford it, get a professional snagging company in, they check absolutely everything!

What is the best feature of your home:

We genuinely love the luxury details that come as standard. Aspects such as bifold doors, turfed lawns and fencing, block paving and patios, integrated appliances and oversized shower enclosures mean even the buyers who don't opt for upgrades and extras are getting a very enviable home.

Brampton lovely area and lots in the town. Traffic noise on estate is a minimum although people parking off their drives should ensure the bin men can get by for bin collection day.

How difficult the after care team can be. They don’t chase up recent works and you end up doing all the chasing for jobs to be completed.

What is the best feature of your home:

The kitchen is one of the best rooms with the patio doors into the garden. Front drive is roomy and well put together.
