Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Location/travel - Amazing for commuting to Bristol city centre. Quick walk to the train station, local cafes and very convenient having a Sainsbury’s in the building. However very long waiting list for a parking space and expensive so would recommend not having a car as public transport is so easy. Not much green space in the local area but would recommend a quick walk to castle park, a train to Bath or a bus to the Clifton downs for some fresh air! Noise - On the top floor we didn’t experience any traffic/construction noise at all and loved how quiet the flat was for wfh and couldn’t hear our neighbours at all. Quite a few homeless people on the streets outside the building but didn’t have any bad experiences with them personally. Views - Really really recommend the top floor flats facing North/East as the views were such a highlight for us (see pictures!)

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Maintenance team responded quickly and fixed any issues easily.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

You don’t need a car as the location is so central and parking is limited and expensive.

Cons outweigh pros in value for money for me

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area does have some shops, a small Sainsbury and a Mokoko, in addition to the small shops under the train tracks but these areas are also trolled endlessly by unhoused individuals and there are quite a few conflicts that arise as a result. On multiple occasions the Sainsbury has been closed due to altercations or equipment failures (fridges) and there are constantly people outside asking for money and food. Traffic noise is minimal as there are almost always street works going on by the building. Proximity to Temple Meads is awesome, just a 5 minute walk away.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They are responsive to complaints, but ultimately are not fixing long-term problems for their residents.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I could see a floor plan of my specific apartment prior to moving in (I was incorrectly told that my flat had a balcony). I wished I knew that this building is very dedicated to it's community programming (that's not something I'm interested in, so would rather have opted for a regular building rather than a student community type building).

The location is very convenient, just a 3-minute walk from Temple Meads. It’s also close to Old Market and the city centre, so everything you need is within easy reach. There is small Sainsbury Local and a wonderful café just outside the building—both are super handy for everyday needs. While the area would benefit from a larger supermarket and more local shops, the existing amenities are a great start and make day-to-day living very comfortable.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Absolutely. The staff at BoxMaker Yards are amazing—always helpful, friendly, and quick to respond.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I honestly have nothing I wish I had known before moving in—it has truly been a great experience all around!

Very central, right by the station. Only downside is it can be noisy at night with cars / wind and need to wear earplugs at night

Reception always reply and are helpful even with random requests

Only thing is I find it a bit noisy at night but I am a light sleeper

The location is excellent, conveniently close to the city centre. The area is well-connected by public transport as well.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Maintenance issues are addressed promptly. For instance, when our washer-dryer had a problem, it was resolved in a timely manner.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The private dining room is fantastic for parties and gatherings. I was especially impressed with the beautiful design, elegant tableware and cutlery, and the music facilities.
