Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

A 10-15 minute walk from Leeds city centre giving easy access to restaurants, bars, shops and transport. Bin collections are handled by the management team. Parking is available on site and there is little to no noise from traffic.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They respond promptly and try to resolve quickly as possible

The residents are respectful and the building is quiet as sound does not generally travel through the walls

It is very conveniently located with a 20 minute walk into town, a small Morrisons around the corner, there is parking available but I have seen cards on the street with smashed windows after being broken into.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The landlord is perpectially unaware of what is going on in the building. When I moved in the hob had failed it's PAT test 5 months earlier (and had presumably been in use since) and they said that they didn't know that because the electricans don't tell them if there are problems. They take over a week to respond to emails, if you speak to them in person they claim they don't know what's happening but they will "pass it on". It took 3.5 weeks from moving in to have a working hob and I still don't have a bedroom light over a month later.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The walls are very thin between flats, the hob switches off after 15mins, they use 1.5 year old pictures as "certified inspection photos" so be careful with the inventory.

Quickly and kind reply. Whenever the tenants need help, they are there.

The local area around the residence is generally quiet, with a mix of students, university staff, and key workers. I haven’t encountered any anti-social behaviour or criminal incidents during my time here. The location is highly convenient, being just 15 minutes from the city center, 8 minutes from Leeds University Business School, and 10 minutes from both Woodhouse Moor (Hyde Park) and Burley Road, where you can find a good range of cafés and restaurants. Leeds train station and coach station, the two main transport hubs, are about 20-30 minutes walking distance, meaning an Uber is often the easiest option for arrivals. Parking is available on-site with a parking fee. Bin collections are well-maintained, with separate collections for recycling and glass.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The management team is very friendly and accommodating. I’ve never had any issues with them, and they’ve been responsive to any concerns I've raised.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing I wish I had known before moving in is that not all sides of the building receive the same amount of sunlight as usual. In particular, apartments facing the back courtyard can be quite dark throughout the day. During my viewing, I wasn’t shown the exact apartment flat that I now live in, so I didn't realize this aspect until after moving in
