Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Good: • the management team - Joe, Danielle & Alex are fab • the flats have a nice aesthetic • the gardens are a lovely amenity to have • the gym is well maintained • there are loads of communal lounges & a games room • the location is really convenient • you can have pets! • they hold events for the residents here, like fish & chips night, parties, dog walking club - it's all very social • it offers a good balance between solitude & being around people • it is key workers only so most people are pretty respectful of their neighbours • it feels really secure - I never worry about being broken into or robbed Bad: • I wish I had an oven & a washer dryer in my flat • the windows don't open very far, which I get is a safety thing, but it means that the flats can get stuffy & stinky pretty easily • noise is an issue & I personally don't like that the security guards patrol the corridors through the night - I get woken up by the doors • I don't like being charged in order to do my laundry • my ceiling & walls creak relentlessly in bad weather • there is a problem locally with homelessness & substance abuse but they've only approached me a few times in the whole year I've been here so it's not so bad - much less bother than walking through town!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The management team on the ground are so good, they're always happy to help, professional and really friendly.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The sound proofing is not the best. The doors slam & you can hear other people in the hallways & adjoining flats.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Overall it was a lovely convenient place to live, 15 minute walk to town and 2 min walk to a local shop! Bins in the property get overfilled but that’s not the flats fault!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes always, they respond in a kind and respectful way. And also help find solutions
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Just respect other tenants by looking after the shared spaces as it can become frustrating when laundry isn’t removed or kept clean! Don’t slam your doors as it can be disruptive to neighbours! Security are super helpful

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
There is a small corner shop (Morrisons Daily) and a pizza restaurant (Papa John's) nearby. However, the larger stores are only located in the city centre, which can be slightly inconvenient if you don't drive. Additionally, the nearest bus stop is not very close to the accommodation. There could be more open spaces and parks nearby, but Woodhouse Moor is only a 15-minute walk away. There is usually enough parking available at CQ, so no issues there. The street is generally quiet and does not feel unsafe, especially compared to most areas in Hyde Park. However, I have recently observed some anti-social behaviour on the street, including shouting, swearing, fighting, and drug dealing. Walking in the dark does not feel very safe, particularly for women (I have been followed and catcalled before). Also, lately, I have been constantly bothered by loud fireworks near my window. I have also noticed a lot of litter in the area and dead rats. That being said, the area is still safer and nicer than most places in Leeds.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They responded very quickly and solved the problem within 10 minutes, even though I called them late in the evening. They are always very polite, smiley, and happy to help. I always enjoy chatting with them.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had known how expensive doing the laundry would be (circuit). Other than that, everything was great. I highly recommend staying there, I am sure you will enjoy staying at CQ as much as I did.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
There's Morrisons Daily just around the corner as well as a Domino's. Within 15 mins walk you can reach a range of shops like Coop and Tesco express. The downside might be the lack of bus routes. When I need to go to city centre I tend to just walk (20 mins) or uber.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
I haven't had any issues but I heard from other tenants that when they report an issue in the app it usually get fixed very quickly. Most of office staff is very very friendly.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Laundry and electricity are quite expensive. Look for rooms with floor to ceiling windows, they are so pretty!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
CQ is one of the best accommodations in Leeds. It is located in a quiet area with 24/7 security, close to the university and within easy reach of the city centre.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The problems are categorised by level of importance, and responses are provided accordingly.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Three years of staying at CQ were enough to know everything about it.
