More than a place to live.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area is fantastic. Duet is a stones throw from Media City, where there is always events being organized, especially in the summer months. There are many restaurants and bars within walking distance also. The local area is very safe and secure, with great transport links to the City.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Excellently. We only had one issue in our time here. Once raised, it was solved within 3 days.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The Duet car park is expensive due to its size with cheaper, and secure car parking options available nearby. The front desk at Duet are happy to recommend alternative options.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Right in between two tram stops so about twenty minutes into the city centre and the railway stations and within a short walking distance there is a Sainsbury Local, bars, outlet shopping centre, great views, Lowry Theatre and Galleries, Imperial War Museum, Old Trafford (football and cricket), gyms, bars, cafes, restaurants-a-plenty, Tesco Metro, Co-Op, McDonalds, Starbucks, the Shahi Masala and the brilliant Eat Well. Short drive to a full sized Sainsbury's, Tesco, M&S Food Hall, Aldi and just around the corner to M602 and straight onto the M60, M62 and M6 as well as twenty five minutes and around £25 in an Uber to Manchester airport. Only downside is that traffic can be very busy when United are playing at home, so you just have to plan around it. Also, parking is an issue around here with no on-street parking during the day. However, with the public transport and proximity to the city centre, I haven't had a car for for two years and don't miss it. It's just great place to live. Feels very safe (although I'm a Geordie so have no sense of danger!).

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Immediately, with great efficiency and professionalism. Just report any issues on the app and they will be dealt with straight away. Washing machine broken down (after four and a half years of reasonable use)? New one three days later. Faulty hob? Replaced within twenty four hours. Kitchen chairs broken? Replaced with more robust ones and confirmed that they would not be ordering the old type again. Anything else you need?

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The trams run very slowly so takes a bit longer than you expect to get into town, around 20-25 mins (I've worked out that they travel at an average of around 8mph, pretty rubbish really, but the route around the Quays was poorly engineered). Other than that, lovely building lovely people and feels like a home, not a dormitory.

The nicest place you’ll ever live!

Stine BK (Tenant)

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

This has been the most AMAZING place to live! The staff are so lovely, and I’ve loved coming home to my apartment every single time. I love the Scandinavian design (I’m from Norway, so it almost felt like being back home). I’ve never lived a nicer place in my life, and I feel so grateful for making my flat at Duet my home for a year. Would 100% recommend!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Staff has been super helpful every time there were any issues.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish there were more detailed photos of the incredible view.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Only good aspects about the area. Tram station right in front of the building, Media City bars and restaurants, as well as The Lowry Shopping Centre less then 10min walking. Walk ways around the quays are just amazing with lots of activities around every day!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The team in general is incredible, they will always receive you with a smile, and will help you with anything you need building wise.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I’d known about Duet sooner so I could’ve moved in years ago…

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Love living in MediaCity, great connections to the inner city, 10 minute walk from several bars and restaurants. Good gym around the corner.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Swiftly dealt with most issues in a timely manner.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How quiet the apartments are (good). Although I believe it depends on which apartment you have, noise reduction is very good though and rarely hear neighbours above or adjacent.
