Loud, inconsiderate neighbours, shoddy builders, but at least my house is warm... for now

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There's a family who live a few houses down who frequently smoke weed, round the corner from them there are a young couple who frequently throw parties with horrendously loud music, and somewhere on the estate there is a guy constantly revving his engine so the exhaust pops.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Seldom speak to the landlord but for any issues, they deal with them accordingly

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The poor quality of the build... and the actual prices should you buy are horrendous!

Nice enough area with low traffic volume, however you may get a strong smell of cannabis from some households.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The property manager has been incredible in reacting quickly to issues.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Being charged the same on council tax as a much larger house, when we live in a much smaller one.

Local shop good, Street Good, pubs now lacking, bin collections - rubbish is alway found on the streets following collection.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have not - major issues with cold room(s) because of poorly installed plasterboard, without using best practic and maunfacturer guidelines on sealing. If they had these major issues would not exist. Specialists were paid for to inspect and report on findings - not good at all. The saga continues. Not a responsibe builder. Not to mention the lack a phone points, not to the specification advertised or sold. Or the water logged garden.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Get the new building properly inspected before parting with ANY money, plasterboard hides many problems.

The estate itself is fairly quiet

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are a few facilities local to the estate but all of which are around 15 minute walk or longer. There is a park not too far from the estate but this suffers with a lot of anti social behaviour, kids on mopeds etc meaning it isn’t always suitable to take children to. The public transport links are quite limited and the estate would benefit with a stop being placed nearby.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Eventually but as managed we would always have to chase several times and service was dissatisfactory

I wish I had known more about the local area as once you are out of the estate there is quite a lot of anti social behaviour, people racing up the road in cars, messing about on mopeds egc

Ideal for families and a lovely place to live

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Lovely local area, within walking distance of 2 shops, primary school and nursery. Great little cafe and heritage centre at the top of the road too. Good couple of pubs, some serving food in the village centre, as well as local butchers, dentist and opticians. Transport links are good, with town centre and city centre buses running regularly, with several bus stops only a short walk away. Plenty of open spaces nearby, with a couple of parks, football pitches, MUGAs and local leisure centre. Everything you could need, most of which is in walking distance.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Initial snags were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Later issues took lots of contact and reminders to be dealt with. Overall good and one of the better builders, but still could improve.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Internal plans for the remainder of the site - for example the early plots on the site didn’t get some of the additional features such as smart heating systems, chrome towel rails, outside taps etc. Many of these had to be purchased as extras and then were given as standard for later properties on the site. Make sure to complete your final walk around after the cleaners have been.
