The good and not so good

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Local shops limited to essentials. Doctor, Dentist and Chemist in the village as well as Chinese and Indian takeaways, fish and chip shop, cafe and 2 pubs. Local bus to Leicester runs twice per hour. Regular bin collection. All properties on Garner Way have parking spaces and garages but residents still insist on parking on the road.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Customer service have been difficult to contact during covid with long delays, and feel they have often used Covid as an excuse for delays in response to emails. We have had various problems with our property and several different operatives have visited to carry repair works which have not been satisfactory and other operatives have had to return to rectify the problems.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

closely inspect the quality of the build in the show homes, if you get chance to speak to any owners on the development take the opportunity. Read reviews on all of the developers sites before making your decision and most important if you do buy, get a Snagging Survey done. Unfortunately not all reviews give an honest and balanced view, no developer is perfect some are worse than others.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Love the area, it feels rural without being to small and closed off, perfect amount of shops. Bus service is good but times are infrequent. Never had a missed bin collection, traffic noise is minimum. There has been some antisocial behaviour as someone on my street did have a converter stolen from their car and there was a house party which got out of hand causing arguments in the street which was worrying but the police arrived promptly and there has been no further issues since.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Most of the issues were sorted promptly and efficiently.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would of liked to have been made aware of the social housing that are further up the road, any antisocial behaviour comes from these houses.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

A very nice development with close access to shop schools and transport . I live at a dead end which is quiet and with no traffic passing at all times of day and night a few noisy children running up and down streets close to me. Bin collection is good.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Very noisy children playing out at all hours

It is not a large estate and still has the village feel to it

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Fleckney is a lovely small village with 2 pubs, a chip shop , a CO-Op,2 newsagents, a library, village hall, silver band, dentist doctors surgery and a multi'sports centre. There are great links to the south of Leicetsershire, Northamptonshire and Rugby.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Issues we have raised have been solved on the whole but not always quickly and not always to a high standard.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

House prices of planned builds as a comparitive/ incentive
