Modern Living with Great Amenities, but Management Could Improve

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good aspects: The range of local shops, restaurants, and bars is excellent, offering diverse cuisines and vibrant nightlife. Open spaces like parks are well-maintained, providing areas for recreation and relaxation. Public transport links are generally reliable, with buses, trains, and cycle paths making it easy to get around without a car. Bad aspects: However, parking availability can be an issue, especially during peak hours, and bin collections occasionally face delays. Traffic noise is noticeable during rush hours, and while anti-social behavior isn’t common, it can occur around bar closing times. Overall, it’s a lively and convenient place but with room for improvement.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management is generally responsive, addressing issues quickly, though communication can sometimes be slow.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known about the limited parking availability during peak hours and occasional delays in bin collections. Additionally, the noise levels from nearby traffic or late-night bars can be noticeable, which wasn’t evident during viewings. For new neighbors, I’d suggest checking how well the soundproofing meets your needs and clarifying any service charge details with property management upfront.

The property in general is lovely,

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good variety of locations and good access to transport options. The development is located by a train station which results in some antisocial behaviour and littering, but a lot of this is made up for by the quality of the town nearby.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Typically response times to issues are slow, I’ve even been told at one point that I’d have to wait 3 days to be able to get back into my property after getting locked out due to all electronic locks.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It’s good to know that the building typically has a high turnover of airline staff, and they can be very disruptive and cause issues, but generally for the phases of poor neighbours there’s equally lovely people and it is overall a good place to live.
