Poor experience with Muir Homes. Wish I had bought with another developer.

The transport links are great for the motorway, and a bar and takeaway in Glenboig which are busy. Train station easily accessible.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is quiet. There is a lack of shops, restaurants, bars etc. it is very close to transport links. The street is quiet with no traffic noise, except the site traffic. As a result the roads on the estate are very bad!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Poor after care

What is the best feature of your home:

Kitchen diner is spacious and is great for cooking/dining

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

No bars/restaurants within walking distance but fine if you have a car. Very good access to motorway, so quick but far enough away that you dont hear it. Parking availability is good, bin collection is good and there has been no anti social behaviour. There is a lot of noise during the day with it being a building site, but not at night. Good access to places to take the dog a walk.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How noisy it would be during the day, I work night shift and sleep during the day and find it very difficult sometimes with the noise.

What is the best feature of your home:

The space, our house is a great size and also have a good sized front and back garden, for a new build it's great because a lot of them don't have good sized gardens.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are a few local shops and take aways nearby. The main supermarkets are in Coatbridge main street a 10 minute drive away so very convenient. There are a few bars, restaurants and bingo hall in Coatbridge town centre. The Faraday retail park has popular shops within. I have my own drive way so no issues with parking or bin collections. There is no anti social behaviour and the main traffic noise is from works traffic as they are still building on the site.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The benefits of having a new build such as new boiler and insulation. Saving money in the long term.

What is the best feature of your home:

The downstairs bathroom and utility room which is a useful space.
