Royal Arsenal Riverside in Woolwich is a vibrant and well-developed area with a good range of local amenities. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars catering to different tastes, from casual cafés to more upscale dining options. The area also benefits from open spaces, including parks and the riverside walk, which provide a pleasant escape from city life. Transport links are one of the major advantages of living here. The Elizabeth Line offers fast connections to Central London and beyond, while Woolwich Arsenal station provides access to the DLR and National Rail services. There are also good bus links and the Thames Clipper riverboat service, adding to the convenience. However, peak-time congestion can sometimes be an issue, particularly around the station and main roads. Living on the street is generally comfortable, with well-maintained public spaces and regular bin collections. Parking can be challenging, as it is mostly restricted to permit holders, and spaces are limited. Traffic noise is present but not excessive, and anti-social behavior is not a major issue, though it can occur occasionally, as in any urban area. Overall, Royal Arsenal Riverside offers a well-balanced lifestyle with modern conveniences and excellent transport links.

The park run along the riverside is unexpected. I love it

The area isn’t the best but elements are being re developed. The high street is typical with the useful fast food outlets - overall ok. Crime isent great here and spills over into the Royal Arsenal Riverside development.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Transport is very good - the development is just very busy and developed. Unfortunately it won’t let me upload a picture of the horrible next phase of the development.

What is the best feature of your home:

Generally a nice quality build - with good floors and level of finish.

Good - great transport links, beautifully maintained development, car free zone, lost of activities throughout the year like farmers market. Bad - the concierge is too far away from my building to collect parcels, they should relocate the concierge to the waterfront one. Concierge service has gone down in quality over the 10 years I've lived here, phone calls not answered, no good manners from some staff. The maribor park is being built on, taking away green space, more overcrowding. Now there's too many buildings, it feels like a council estate when the new ones will be finished. Also transport becoming more congested because theres more buildings being built on the development. It doesn't feel like a luxury development anymore. Don't build anymore in the small space please!!! Give us more green space

Hate the decking on the balcony would not choose that kind of building. Things fall between the decking to the flat below.

What is the best feature of your home:

River view, wide sweeping balcony. Car free zone. Used to have a nice park, Maribor park

The building design is beautiful but very crowded

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I’ve been living in the RA for a decade and it’s a wonderful area with a great community. The ease of access via public transport is a big plus. However, the area is severely lacking green spaces, the range of shops and restaurants is small, there’s an increase of antisocial behavior around the Elizabeth line train station and the overall cleanliness has gone down.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the management company was so bad and that there was no plan for a small park

Beautiful building facing a pedestrian street and with great fixtures

None noted, as I had great surprises after I moved
