Nice houses, good area, no shops!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are no shops on the development! Parking is good, although you can hear some noise from the A421 road.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Defects were dealt with quite quickly after moving in. We did have a bath replaced however and were told we would be without one for 3 days until they could fit someone in to seal it!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish we would have known there would be no shops for at least 2-3 years!

The good: new residential construction, very modern, very nice organisation. The bad: no shops in the very near vicinity

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They tend to respond but until you get what you expect from them takes a bit of a time…

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I was expecting to have shops around much quicker, also to much dust because is still in construction.

Easy and relaxed first year

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Parking availability is brilliant, 2 spaces for both me and my partner and plenty of lay by spaces for family and friends to use. Bin collection is good, haven't really had any problems, comes every week. In need of a small shop near by for when we need little bits, Kingston is near of course but annoying when we only need bread. Not sure when that will be open either - no news on that. Kingston is great to have so close by for the shops and restaurants. Petrol stations are close by too.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Pretty good, fast emails back and easy to book appointments for the problems raised. Only a few times where communication wasn't very good but all in all, the year has felt relaxed when dealing with problems.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Information about the loft, whether or not we can ask the development to board the loft for us, if we can actually get it boarded and if they had any places they could recommend to board it. None of this info was given to us, so being first time buyers, it made it hard to figure out where to put some of our things like Xmas Decs.

The Glebe Farm area is a very nice place to live, Glebe Farm school has recently opened which is fantastic news for local children looking to be part of a self sustaining school. With Kingston district area being very close this provides all residents with access to great food supermarkets and restaurants.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any issues that we incurred were dealt with promptly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The timber frame house construction delivers great heat retention during the winter months, this reduces the amount you need to have your heating on leading to savings in your energy bills.

Shops still not open (or even built 18months on). Lacking sufficient walkable green spaces. Good community facilities. Location convenient located a mile or so from the M1. Close enough to city facilities. Close to (short drive) rail station.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

With on few occasions, some resistance. Most of the time response is good.

The garden turf is just rolled onto building waste
